Just to have had him fit on a regular basis would have been a plus this season. But to have him be as good as he has been, is a massive bonus to us. Being paired with Cook has clearly brought the best out of him.
Yes they compliment each other very well, and its certain we will sell him if a decent offer is made. That revenue will then assist Marti in bringing more quality ball-players - including a striker.

I’d sell in the event of an offer. Bloke came in on a free transfer, so any fee constitutes pure profit from an FFP perspective and equally his injury record means he’s always a risk not to get through a season. It’d be a shame as he’s had a very impressive season when fit. But I think value for money can be found across the market for a left sided centre back and Marti may even look at Shaquille Pinas at Hammarby as a cheaper alternative.
He's clearly the player who is going to be linked around the most this summer.
I think £5 million plus add ons.
In the past weve let too many assets leave for less than their real value. The good news with JCS is that his only 26yo and because his QPR contract lasts until June 2026 it puts us in the driving seat.
I think that £5m with add-ons is fair although because we hold all the cards a straight £6m to £7m could be achievable.
Is he worth that though A decent defender when he’s fit But has been injury prone at times for us
He's been managed well this season, but that is exactly why we have to sell if we get decent offers, because there is no guarantee next season won't be troubled by injuries again.
And that is what may put teams off. I suspect any deal for JCS may have add ons based on appearances and suchlike. If a team does take the gamble they will want to build in some backup incase he breaks down again.
He will be a coup for any side though if they get the player we had this past 9 months.

If we do have to sell him in order to get money for a striker then that makes sense. However, if the club cannot get a decent finisher, or choose not to even look, then we will certainly need him as goals conceded will be a vital figure once again!

I'd imagine that Marti will want to strengthen various positions and the only way for that to happen is by selling one of his main assets. Whether that is Chair or JCS remains to be seen but JCS seems to be the player that lots of clubs are being linked with.
When discussing a possible transfer and speaking to Football League World, Clarke-Salter said: "If I’m being totally honest with myself, I had a lot of ambition growing up at Chelsea – captaining Chelsea and England youth sides – and I had some injuries along the way that has hindered my career.
"To have a home now, to be able to stay fit this season, which I always knew would come around again. I’m confident now that I can put those injuries behind me and I’m just happy now at QPR.
"I have a home, I had a good season in the end and I’m just looking forward to the future."
