Our season dried up once Cameron and angle got injured
I agree they are big losses - especially Cameron - but we actually didn't win the last 3/4 games they both played so there is more to this bad run. No win in 5 games is actually now our worst run of the season without a win.
Luongo was a big loss as we won 3 in a row before he went to Asia but today he wasn't exactly setting the world on fire.
So I don't know what is to blame. From today's performances it feels to me like too many players are off the boil all at the same time.
After today (you can read the Match Report HERE) you could make a case for Lumley, Furlong, Leistner, Lynch, Scowen, Wszolek and Eze all being dropped. None are playing well enough to stay in the side.
It almost feels like our season has simply dried up I even think 39 points would be enough to stay up this season The bottom 5 or 6 are so poor,I still think we need to win at least 3 more games and when we do I’ll settle down a bit Current form is worrying and Portsmouth will fancy their chances on Tuesday,we just need a confidence boost from somewhere I don’t understand every season our drop in form whoever is in charge,do we simply just get worked out from other teams Amazing how poor the league is,we are actually only 4 points still from being top 8 It’s really frustrating last few games and ruins your weekend, well it does mine
Tony Fernandes ✔ @tonyfernandes Poor result. That was 3 points for the taking. It was a penalty but still.
Tony on Twitter Yes it was poor but McClaren unlike most other teams who did sign players had no option to strengthen the squad due to the transfer ban

Point taken re inability to bring in anyone better, but I do feel most of our pain stems from McClaren over-relying upon the same players. You can expect one or two players to have an 'off day' but there have been in recent games far too many not performing to their best ability, and you would need a miracle to win under those constraints! Have to be changes where possible!! For sure when Rangel, Cameron & Hemed come back then things will improve, but why are we not using BOS and Hall in the starting eleven?
Agree McClaren is beginning to lose the plot again But it’s not all his fault and like at the start of the season,he managed to sort it out once he got additions in But this time round on our poor run he can’t change the staff round much It’s not going to get much better soon if McClaren sticks with the same formula all the time
But this time round on our poor run he can’t change the staff round much
To be fair the players he brought in last time to turn around our poor run - Cameron, Hemed and Rangel - are currently out injured and none have played in this run of 5 games. So hopefully with them all due back from injury at the same time they can have the same impact coming back into the side as they did back in August.
Forward Paul Smyth was in the away end at Wigan Athletic to watch QPR’s 2-1 defeat, with loan side Accrington Stanley’s match against Cheltenham Town postponed due to a frozen pitch.
