See after 2 more games we are no longer named Loftus Road Giving the naming rights to charity Just like that hey Silly really as it could of created money for the club and charity not just charity
There’s nothing stopping us from renaming it as ‘Loftus Road’ though, I agree that it shouldn’t be changed. However if it means we can raise some Charity funds whilst renaming it the same as it is now then I don’t have an issue with it
We could have it Loftus Road Sponsoring (Charity Name) I would not have a problem with that and it could raise some well needed money for some charity.
A lot of fans are taking with their feet at the moment and all this has done is given them another stick to beat the club with. Rename the stadium when we are on the crest of a wave, not when a lot of fans are already pretty disillusioned with the club.
Brilliant gesture but this has got to be the decision of the same financial advisors that got us into FFP troubles.
We are a cash strapped club that is measured on its income and out goings. The football club depends on every penny at this current time.
If our billionaire and multi millionaire want to donate to charity then they should get out a pen and sign a personal cheque. They could donate a million each and it would still be small change to a billionaire and multi, multi millionaires.
The club keep telling us that we have no money and we can't sign players because of FFP and then they decide to give away some vital income.
Maybe I'm being sceptical but I wonder if there is some sort of big tax break that we get as a result of donating to charity.
On the face of things it seems great PR but at the same time it's a very strange financial decision.
As our stadium is called Loftus Road it is unlikely that we are receiving any money as Naming right therefore any money coming in will be new money. Also I don't see big company's falling over themselves for the naming rights of our stadium, so any money coming in would be limited.
I don't hold they same view as most of the above posts, as I think that we have done a lot of great work in the community and this will only add to it.
Also any money going to the club for naming rights will be taxed therefore QPR would loose a big chunk of that money and any money going to charitable organization will be eligible for a tax break
I for one would not mind some off the money going to an Alzheimer charity which would help people like Stan Bowles.
Some off you may be right in thinking that this is only a publicity stunt. But I think that my club is bigger than that.
