We are losing one of our most important players in Seny Dieng who may have made a few mistakes but he saved us on many more occasions.
It will be interesting to see who gets the goalkeepers shirt against Slavia Prague.
A big plus in Dieng's favour was how comfortable he was under pressure and with the ball at his feet. Very much the modern goalie. Mahoney may well have the same attributes in the future, but I am unsure about Jordan Archer. Logic says the latter will start today.

I'd always thought that Joe Walsh was the one they had in mind to replace Dieng but he seems to have dropped down the rankings.
This is a big loss in my view - you only have to look how we struggled at the end of 21/22 without Seny.
I know he wasn't at his best last season but unless we get in a very good replacement we look in big trouble right now. Jordan Archer is certainly not the answer...
I agree northwesthoop, Dieng will be a big loss but trying to look at the positives (i) at least we've managed to get £2m for him and (ii) in January he will be off for another Africa Cup.

Could be why borogh have just singed there 3rd keeper in the close season.
