Good win but defensively we can be naive and if we don't tighten up then clean sheets will be a rare thing. The first two Bristol goals were really poor goals to concede and in the 2nd half we let Diedhiou have a free header that he should have scored from.
It's still early days for Barbet and his partnerships with both Hall or Leistner will need to be improved. I forgive Manning his mistake tonight because he adds so much going forward and was probably our best player tonight.
I thought Ball was poor pre season and he seemed no better tonight.
Always awesome to see a win. It's still a shame that we don't play our strongest team though. Would have been a great game to see live. It's very hard at time living so far away!
That was thoroughly enjoyable last night! A really good promising team performance, some spectacular goals and a penalty shoot-out. Not bad value for just £5!
If that game was in any of the last few seasons, then we would’ve crumbled after going 3-2 down. But last nights squad was something different. I honestly can see us beating Portsmouth in the next round now!
And on a personal note, it was nice to see Chair play well and get a goal. Almost like nothing had changed from last season!

What is so great to see is that some players still have room to improve too which bodes well.
Scowen will definitely drop out of the side now and it means when he next gets a chance he will really need to perform. We have genuine competition for places for the first time in a long time. Players who did ok last night probably won't even make the bench on Saturday!

I thought the same and, just to put our hard-won victory into perspective, some others in the EFL either had problems with the depth of their squads or just did not turn up last night:
MK Dons went to penalties to beat AFC Wimbledon
Barnsley were easily beaten by Carlisle
Brenford succumbed to a penalty shoot-out defeat against Cambridge
Charlton succumbed to a penalty shoot-out defeat against Forest Green Rovers
Huddersfield continued their indifferent run of form by losing 0-1 to Lincoln City
Middlesbrough succumbed to a penalty shoot-out defeat against Crewe
