Some of the poorest defending I’ve ever seen by QPR Leistner just stands there and let’s the striker tap or header it in next to him,it’s school boy defending We are so easy to score against it’s frightening and it’s soul destroying for the whole team and the fans We are in big trouble end of story as I can’t see where the next win is coming from,it’s not just heat of the moment Another couple of losses and we are going to be dragged into a relegation scrap till the end of the season Bring Neil Warnock back if that happens

6 games ago we had the chance to go 2nd with a win. Things can change so, so quickly in football.
For that reason we cannot, simply cannot, react to this poor run and change manager again.
The stats I added after the Fulham match show we've had 5 managers in 5 years and always end up in the same position.
Why change manager yet again? What are we aiming for? We are 16th and did we really expect better than that this season?
Warburton needs a lot longer than 18 games. Yes this is a poor run but he - and the club - need a longer term plan. We cannot just panic every time 6 games don't go to plan.
Don’t want a new manager as we’re back to square one But we can’t continue to play as crap as we have been recently We were untouchable start of the season were now a soft touch Northwest mate I get your point totally but fans won’t accept this poor run to carry on much longer without some repercussions The last 10 minutes was diabolical to watch it really was
QPR are still the only team in the entire Football League not to manage a clean sheet this season Play out a boring 0-0 for christ sake, get some confidence not play into other teams hands its almost too easy if you ask me and is it a case we simply dont have the players good enough or our manager tactics Warburton must know before long, the panic button could be pressed and the nearer the bottom 3 we go its more likely At the moment we are mid table but you can see we are totally deflated once a goal goes in I think he will be sacked before xmas as the pressure from the board and the fans will start if we carry on like we are its not my opinion or my wish he is sacked but thats football and he has to address the problems we are having yes the luck on the injury front isnt helping and some players are under performing, lumley needs to be dropped on saturday were all not happy and theres fine margins in football but we fell apart last night and it was embarassing at the end
The 4-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest drops us to 16th position, stuck on 24 points.
2 years ago under Ian Holloway after 16 games we sat in the very same 16th position, albeit with 21 points.
We have now only collected 2 points from the last 6 games and only won 2 of the last 10 overall.
As is well documented we have conceded at least 2 goals per game in each of those 10 games - equalling a club record that has stood for nearly 70 years. If we concede 2 at Derby on Saturday it will be the worst run ever.
20 games without a clean sheet in all competitions mean we now have a poor goal difference of -9 which is the worst outside the bottom 3
Speaking of the bottom 3 we at least have an 8 point buffer over them and some of the sides below us like Barnsley, Wigan and Charlton are in as bad a form as us without a win in the last 5.
For those of you who like to remain 'glass have full' we are still closer to the play offs than the drop zone (6 - 8 points)
Lee Wallace has come into the side, picked up 1 point in 4 games and will of course now miss the next match after his red card.
I mentioned after Fulham how influential Yoann Barbet is to the side and that influence has only grown with another big defeat.
We are now picking up just 0.17 points per game without him compared to a whopping 1.92 when he is in the side.
And despite him giving away penalty after penalty we conceded 1.6 goals per game with him compared to 2.7 goals per game without him.
We should not forget that we have a team built on the cheap that is trying to play expansive football. Some of the squad are incapable of adapting, and some are just not good enough. QPR have a plan (realistic or not) and it requires time.
I suspect the squad seems to have a number of players suffering whilst playing. Hugill, as was noted on the forum, should have started, and I suspect has a hamstring problem. Leistner, again as mentioned, was the best defender in many games, but now seems off pace and not competing against high crosses - is he also injured? Then there is Barbet and Smith....
I said a couple but.... Last night and recent defeats were amplified by the lack of scoring. Losing 2-4, for example, sounds a lot better than 0-4!
I watched the game last nigt until the sending off and then this morning I have watched the full game.
The defence and in particular the centre of defence has been an issue for several season and this season has been no different. Injuries haven't helped and we have struggled having to improvise with both Cameron and Wallace playing in central defence. Manning and Kane can both look good when going forward but neither is a decent defender.
I can understand why Warburton wants to play out from the back with pretty football but if the players you have available aren't comfortable or capable of playing that style why persist?
My observation of last night game was that we were set up wrongly and this was then compounded when Warburton failed to change his tactics soon enough. Why play Wells and Chair as your main strikers and then get the wing backs to play high balls into the box. Even a Sunday League manager would have either got a message to stop the high balls or would have brought on a taller and more robust player to challenge for these crosses. Not Warburton, he stood there, hands in pocket.
The first goal we conceded was so soft with the ball sailing over everyone and straight to a Forest player. Kane realised too late that it was his man but by the time he got to him the ball was in the net.
At half time Warburton made the expected change and brought on Hugill for Chair. Whether Kane didn't get told that Hugill was on I'm not sure because his first 2 crosses were played in at knee height.
Wallace looked a little unlucky to be sent off but his foul was stupid and we have seen similar with Barbet earlier in the season.
The game was over once the 2nd goal was scored. It was poor defending all round, Wells lost the ball which was then played down our right where Kane was easily beaten and then the ball goes between Lumley and Leistner to a Forest player who scores.
The 3rd goal was more poor defending and came about from Kane's poor back pass to Lumley who cleared the ball up field. The clearance is headed back by a Forest player whose team mate runs through our defence like a knife through butter.
The 4th goal was all down to Lumley and he has to take the blame.
36 goals conceded and no clean sheets.
I want Warburton to do well because we can't keep changing manager every season. Barbet and Kelly havent proved to be too much better than those who currently play but their return from injury in the next few weeks will hopefully bring a bit more solidity to the team.

Like him or not, the sooner he is back the better
Stats are Stats and will only give you part of the story.
Whether we concede c.2 goals with Barbet in the team or c. 3 goals whilst he's injured doesnt change the fact that we have a leaky defence. What doesn't help is that we dont have any central defenders to cover for Barbet . Warburtons solution has been to play Cameron and Wallace in his place and neither are central defenders.
The issue is Warburton who knew before the season started that we needed central defenders. His decision was to bring in Barbet (no better than Lynch IMO) and Masterson who he now clearly doesn't rate.
I think that Leistner is going through a poor spell because he is trying to do his own job whilst covering for inadequate players alongside him. Let's not forget that if Warburton had got his wish then Leistner would have been sold and our central defence would now just be Hall.
Even if we have two players fighting to play in each position, we have no depth of quality in the squad. For example, last night, even if Hugill was not fit to start, it is sadly true that Chair was preferred as a striker over Hugill's #2 - Mlakar. At the back, as has been often mentioned, there is a dearth of pace that inhibits overall confidence. January is not the time to 'splash cash' but Warburton needs to improve the quality BEFORE it is too late!

We aren't going down, we are just in a tough run of fixture.
It's just a shame that a season that promised so much has started to cause tension amongst the fanbase again and will ultimately be a season full of dead rubbers by February again.
