Whilst Manning and BOS are both in discussions over contract extensions it will be interesting to see what happens with Josh Scowen whose contract is also due to finish in June 2020.
From the look on his face after scoring that wonder goal against Swansea I would suggest the club are yet to have had any talks with his representatives.
Hall, Pugh, Rangel and Shodipo are all also out of contact apparently.
Cameron could leave but we have an option for another year, which given his versatility and experience I can't see us not taking up.
Update: Pugh also has an option for a further year
I think we are only just starting to see the best of Pugh, but if we do sign Jack Clarke that may well mean he drops down the pecking order... In regard to Scowen, it is obvious from his last run-out that he must be seriously considered for not only a DM role but also a AM role too! As to whether he is willing to come on as a sub most of the time is another matter...
We have attacking players and a bit of pace everywhere It’s just our defensive midfield and our defence that’s the problem We really need a decent centre back and maybe goalie

I would suggest we need four centre-backs in total so, with Masterson out on loan soon and Barbet back next month, we are really talking about replacements for Leistner and Hall. The latter is a ex-Lewes player so I have an affinity with him, but he has not improved defensively and I would rather he moved forward to replace Cameron. Tony Leistner has superb anticipation in regard to play and I would hope all would agree if he was aged 23 years we would be happy to have him, but time is not on his side now... Whilst Ball or Wallace could fill the 4th CB slot, I would much rather prefer a dedicated CB be brought in as a potential sub (alongside a new partner for Barbet).

Its a good article to read and shows how far the club have come in recent years as before these boys we hadn't had a youth product for around a decade (wasn't it langley who came though?) but I think its stretching the truth to call them all homegrown players.

Is it because we have the right people in charge now (including Chris Ramsey)? It certainly cannot be because we have better training facilities!

Imagine what they could do if / when we get a purpose built facility?!?!?!?
