I have to say that I feel the main reasons that Leeds felt long, diagonal balls forward were a good choice was based upon their analysis of our defence and midfield. They knew our midfield players would hunt and chase the ball-players, and probably felt our Back 4 would be slow at times to react or allow players to cross from the wings. That was then, this is now, and we were sharper and not allowing the same space on the wings.
Lots of moaning from Leeds about Wells' double-handling the ball, and how Leeds get a bad deal every time the come to London, but nothing about Bamford's inability at times to survive a strong wind without collapsing, or their fouls.....
Has anyone else noticed that we are a few games in from the 'safety-first' edict in defence and, despite numerous safe clearances for advanced throw-ins and corners, Leeds could make no impact with their balls into the goal area because our defence has improved! There were some howlers when it came to clearances, but the notable thing was that there was always at least one other Rangers player always there to cover.
Meant to add that Debbie may well done Dallas first, but BOS made sure Dallas was also well and truly buried!
