100% agree why stay at a club with no real ambition or money when you can go to a lower end premier league club like Watford who even if went down would fight to get back up Also the club wouldn’t turn down big offers and the players wouldn’t turn down bigger wages Just worrying who’d replace bright and manning and eze if and when they go,these guys are big prospects and there isn’t anything in the squad or youth team that could replace them Chair is about the only one I can think of
It will come down to our success in who we buy to replace them.
There may be some youth prospects that step up, but overall if we have a few big sales of first team players we need to be very good at bringing in players to replace them. Get the buys wrong - like we did bringing in Washington to replace Austin - and we'll be going backwards quickly.
Selling them is not particularly the problem, it is how we replace them and become better despite the sales.
It is the Brentford model really. They have lost important players for big money but have replacements picked in advance ready to come in and keep the club moving forward.

Chair should be being groomed to replace Eze as his is the closest style of play we have to that of Eze. BOS has an understudy too in the shape of Shodipo who, when he was given a short run in the team, did OK but needs to build up his core strength and muscle strength. He already has skill and speed, so he just needs to work on the rest without impacting upon his speed. Manning is different in that there is no player that can do all he does [LB/WB and dead-ball kicking]. If both Manning and Eze go then we will have to rethink our dead-ball situations. For what it is worth, I do not think we have a left-footed youth player or U23 player coming through as an understudy for Wallace. I would like to see Clarke given another decent run out to see how he performs now he has settled in. Spurs rate him and so does his agency apparently.
Problem with clarke is primary school is quite tiring during the week but he is on half term this week so were ask his mum if hes avaliable for saturday

Interestingly Nico Hamalainan who is left footed seems to be doing well up in Scotland. I never really rated him but he might be an ideal replacement for Manning.
Unlike previous seasons where we have seen Lumley,Eze,Chair go out on loan and take their opportunity this seasons crop of youngsters who have been sent out on loan don't appear to be anything special and I don't see any of them getting into our first team anytime soon.

..and that does seem to include Oteh who did not have a successful loan period. I only hope he gets at least one decent chance to prove he has improved and can still improve further.
Teams wanting to buy a player whether its BOS or anyone will try to take advantage of the current climate. All teams are suffering financially and because of that it won't be the last low ball offer we get for one of our better players.
BOS is younger and a better prospect than Luke Freeman was at the same stage so £3m is derisory. In fact £5m would be low ball and BOS's value should be measured against Jack Clarke who cost Spurs £10m and who BOS keeps on the bench.
My fear based on what has happened in the past with Smithies, Furlong and Luke Freeman is that TF may reject the first bid but if Bruges up the figure by £1m then it will be a case of him trousering the cash.

The 1 year left on the contract of our most sellable assets is a real issue. Add that to teams having less money to spend and QPR probably needing money now it will mean we all end up very disappointed by the fees we get for our players.

I totally agree and I think we will not get the full value of either BOS or Eze if we sell in the next transfer window because of the time on their contracts and the financial plight that all clubs find themselves in.
In respect of BOS I would be inclined to take a risk and keep him until January when he will have continued to improve and bidding clubs will be in a more financially secure position. Whilst he would only have 6 months left on his contract I couldn't see his value being any less than than the derisory £3m being offered by Bruge.
Eze might be a different proposition because he seems to have several suitors and whilst we might not get his full cash value up front I can see a deal with add ons payable over a period being agreed.
Hopefully both BOS and Eze will have several clubs after their services over the summer months and this will create the competition to push the offer prices closer to their real value.
I agree with all the comments posted above: To offer £3m for BOS is insulting; we should wait; but we should be aware that his contract has only a season to go.... I would expect a premiership side to get involved.
We already have for both BOS and Manning, until the summer of 2021. They were originally due to end this summer.
The fact we announced the extension rather than new deals indicates talks were going well to get them to commit longer term.
The club has moved away from long term 4/5 year deals and was correct to do so, but that means when you get a star they are never too far from the end bof their deals!
