Now that Goode has signed for Brentford and now that Tom Flanagan has signed an extension at Sunderland I think we should go for Ben Richards-Everton.
At 28yo and 6'5" Richards-Everton was dominant for Bradford last season and was named in the Sky League 2 team of the year. His contract at Bradford has less than a year to run and I reckon we could get him for £500k.
Interestingly, he had a higher Who Scored.com rating than Charlie Goode.

! Because of the way Warburton plays the team operates best with the CBs pushing up the field. That leaves them vulnerable at times when possession is suddenly lost and a breakaway occurs. Then you want CBs who have already planned for this and have the capability to get back fast and to cover each other. Of course, if he also happens to be 6' 10" and 17 stone, well.....
