on a serious note i actually think with a defender or two and creative midfielder we could do alright our new striker dykes i just get a feeling this guy is going to tear teams apart especially if he starts well hes got that slight arrogance which is what i like to see in a striker lets hope and see hey

I am confident we will finish in the top half. There - I said it! Seriously, it comes down to the service provided to the attackers; an improvement in dealing with dead balls at the back; and a reasonable amount of luck with injuries (because we do not have strength in depth). COYRs!

I'm going to controversially agree with Surrey and Single (Fence sitter!)
I'm confident that we will continue to score lots of goals even without Eze and/or BOS.
HOWEVER it is self evident what we need to do if we want to make the playoffs...find another 12 points or so...and there is ONLY ONE WAY TO DO THAT...concede less goals, especially at home.
We only scored 10 goals less than Leeds and WBA but I don't think an extra 10 goals would not get us an extra 12 points...I could be wrong?

It's a shame we are going to lose Eze and BOS, because if we could have still have had them, whilst making some shrewd additions and improving the defence we really had a chance to push on this season. The foundations of a very good team are there with Eze and BOS.
But losing them is a huge void and I expect us to probably end up treading water for another season. Especially if we lose Eze late in the window so don't get chance to properly reinvest the money.
There is no way we are going down but I don't think we can be consistent enough to be top 6.

I think you are right in stating we are beyond a top 6 finish northwesthoop, and a late sale of Eze & BOS would help the coffers but not allow replacements (we do not want to go shopping in the January window). So it comes down to the replacements for them - Chair/Thomas and Shodipo/Smyth. It will be a 'make or break' season for 3 of those 4, so no pressure! A top 10 position must be the minimum target and, as jimjams points out, that will be hugely dependent upon the defence and its coaches - must do better!!
Agree on losing Eze but the BOS news has gone very quiet. hope this means he is staying
I suspect it will have a lot to do with other options failing for a PL or Championship side and him agree terms with QPR. Hope he does stay and prove in the season how dumb other clubs were!

With BOS the longer he is still here the more we need to be pressing him for a new deal.
He's losing out on money the longer he stays on his old deal.
He should accept a better, longer deal with us. We can put clauses in that suit both parties. He gets more money now, we won't stand in his way of a move and the club gets a better fee when he does move.

The linked article has QPR under the magnifying glass and offers a prediction upon our season: QPRprediction
Whilst I agree that Illias Chair is in a 'make or break' season, I do not feel the article places enough emphasis upon the transfers in - Thomas, Dykes, Dickie and Carroll; plus Warburton's performance last season whilst in transition to his style of play. I still feel we will not just be in the upper half of the table, I think we will make 10th!
