Tony just tweeted 'one more maybe'. Suggests there is still work going on but sounds like a maximum of 1 more - likely the lad from Blackpool and that will be it.

I'm pleased we got wheeler he's a real prospect and has a real good attitude by the sound of it The lad from Blackpool is a good young player too if we get him Need to loan a striker from the premier if we don't get one today
Definitely after a striker but seems our main target was Sam Winnall from Sheff Weds and that has failed at this point. Interesting if we have a Plan B.
SANCHEZ and BARKLEY why buy now when in 4 months time will be a lot less. Window should open a month before season starts and close on kick off day. Open in January for 2 week's and that's it. Our business dealings this window apart from defence about right.

Sadly it is all about big money dictating transfers - bigger clubs buy in and then (once deals made) release surplus players, whilst poorer PL clubs/ foreign clubs/ some Championship sides get those surplus players; and so the players percolate down the leagues. Because of this ripple effect what is needed as for the PL sides to have a more restricted window; then a week later the Championship; and a week after that it should be the turn of Leagues 1 & 2. Then all sides will stand a better chance of getting a level playing surface!
I see the big spenders in our league We're Birmingham 13 new players 5 yesterday and jota from Brentford for 6 million That is totally rediculous and typical redknapp I'm hoping and praying it backfires on them I prefer what we done got a promising lower league player Who I hope becomes a big hit on the pitch and with the fans

Agree 100%. I had never heard of Wheeler but I like what I've read. If he can step up 2 leagues it could be an excellent signing. I like the way we're doing business at the moment. It is a real antidote to the crazy money being splashed in the PL and by some in the Championship. I would like to believe that making the most of what you have and building a team spirit can compete with expensive signings.

Single: You are right about Redknap - he still believes spends = success, rather than quality being the answer! Ghost: We know the squad now and (for good or bad) they have to deliver! Team spirit and confidence will be key. Its worked for the likes of Burnley & Leicester!!
Huddersfield also a good example too David Wagner is a good manager and expects his players to work and play by his rules Watched a thing on him the other day If he saids 9 o'clock for training he expects that, not turn up 1 minute past 9 Redknapp needs to realise you can't buy yourself out of the championship,you simply need team spirit and hard work and a good boss like warnock
