Delighted for him, and not too surprised. The big question is whether he can translate that success into the Championship (and beyond). For me, the jury is out.
Is there a role for him in this team given what we've seen in pre-season?
I actually think he's done ok in pre-season. He's hardly set the world alight but he looks like he's bulked up and like he really wants to try and make his mark. There's been no doubting his commitment. BUT (big but) he still looks a level away from where we need him to be. He may work up front right next to Dykes, I'm not convinced about him playing attacking midfielder or out wide.

I did not see the Oxford match (only lowlights) but I suspect Kelman did not get much of the ball as Oxford were busy putting it into our net.... So, based on the other games did he do enough to start up front alongside Dykes? Not for me, but I am willing to be proved wrong Charlie!
