Lack of Quality

I thought last nights game proved our lack of any real quality and just what a soft under belly that Warburtons team now has. The continued lack of leadership can be seen by everyone but Warburton. He has passed the captain's armband from Hall to Barbet to Cameron and you couldn't get a leader if you put all three in a mixing bowl.
Once Eze was sold I hoped that BOS would pick up his mantle and be the teams regular outstanding player. Unfortunately, his form seems to have been severely affected by the continuing saga over whether he will sign his new contract.
Our defence has always been Warburtons folly and his failure to strengthen down the flanks with quality full backs/wing backs has been a real achilles heel from day one. Neither Kakay or Wallace are good enough (nor was Manning) and even against average attacking wide men they are too easily exposed. Barbet and Dickie in the central defender positions look a good pairing on paper and did well against Bournemouth but some of their defending last night and in previous games has been school boy stuff. I break out in a cold sweat every time the opposition get a corner or free kick around our box. Whilst I'm talking free kicks, does Warburton really think that Barbet should be taking ours?
Our midfield is very lightweight and whilst we have seen BOS perform at a decent standard I doubt any of the others are better than 5/10. Adomah was good in his day but if we are honest he wouldn't be coming to us on a free if he could still play at that level.
The two strikers still need time and could be good but we will only know in another 10 or so games and only if they get some decent service.
In his time with us I believe Warburton has signed 22 players either on loan or on full contracts Some like Wells, Cameron and Rangel had been signed by McClaren and Warburton guided by Sir Les re-signed them.
The list of other players that Warburton has signed are a mix of the bad, the very bad and too early to say.
Players like, Jack Clarke, Matt Smith, Jan Mlakar were awful. Lee Wallace, Dom Ball, Marc Pugh, Todd Kane Liam Kelly, Tom Carroll, Luke Amos and Dillon Barnes wouldn't be awful but they either lack consistency or are not good enough for Championship football. It would be unfair to include some of the new players or Conor Masterson because they have only played a few games. Because of the money we have splashed out in purchasing Dickie, Dykes and Bonne we have to hope they come good.
The after match interview with Warburton is now on repeat because he says the same thing again and again and again but seems unable to sort the issues out.
I really want Warburton to succeed but I'm losing faith because we continue to make the same mistakes and he is the guy who is responsible for choosing players who continually make the same mistakes.
