We showed last night we can be solid at the back and we look more lively when BOS plays but we have to put the ball in the net we are not losing games by massive margins when we do lose,if we score goals we put ourselves under less pressure and have more chance of winning,we really are in need of a prolific striker and creative midfielder but am I right in saying we’ve won only 11 games in this calendar year, that is a very worrying stat
We stay 19th but could arguably drops to 21st - 1 place outside the bottom 3 - if Derby and Rotherham below us win their games in hand.
It was our 9th draw of the season already - we only drew 10 in the whole of last season. Our 9th draw last season was Match 44 and this season it is Match 22.
We only have 4 wins in 22 games this season meaning that we only won 11 league games in the whole of 2020.
We have gone 9 games without a win; taking 4 points from the last 27 available
9 games without a win is our worst run since a similar run of 9 without a win between December 2018 and February 2019 which would eventually cost Steve McClaren his job
We haven't gone 10 league games in a row without a win since the run of 16 without a win at the start of 2012/13 (a run of 17 league games in total counting the last game of the previous season). That is somewhat ironically getting lots of press at the moment as Sheffield United have equalled that unwanted record run of 16 games without a win at the start of a season, it just so happens the team who set the record are on the cusp of having their worst run since at the same time!
We haven't had a run of 10 league games without a win at this level since 2005/06, when in March and April 2016 we didn't win any of the last 11 games of the season. We didn't win either of the first 2 of the next season so that was a run of 13 in total in the second tier.
We played 43 league games in 2020, winning 11, drawing 14 and losing 18 (47 points from 43 games in the calendar year)
Only Wycombe have conceded more than our 30 goals (equal 2nd worst)
QPR rank 9th for number of shots, but only 18th for number of shots on target - a true indicator we lack quality in the final third.

We did prove last night that if we decide to set up as a counter attacking side we are actually more likely to draw or win. Their pen was questionable and we didn't concede from open play or even a free kick or corner.
I think we've got the personnel to execute this week in and week out and if MW wants to keep his job I suggest he sticks to this strategy and tries to persuade the board to get a proven striker in on loan, one who would suit this style of play.
Tactics spot on and a really good performance. I did talk about Plan C beforehand but I never saw that coming. The 3 CBs were all excellent but I make Dickie MOM. A very different way of playing but, although Norwich had most of the possession and the goal attempts, we made the best chances. Well done all. And what a rubbish report on BBC.

Yes that was indeed a dire, partisan match report from the Beeb, and i can only assume was written by someone in their Norwich office who could not put bias behind them.... Do agree that 'Plan C' worked, with them as much in the dark as the rest of us when the team sheet came out. I think it was not until the half time briefing that Norwich properly sorted out their response! Dickie was indeed solid and vocal. If he carries on like this then I would hope he becomes to next captain. We all know our weak spots are the wing backs and those who should be goal-scoring but we should be happier after that game the Rs have enough resolve and greater confidence to tackle the Hatters.
Media reports about the moaning by Pukki and Cantwell on field and the bench off the field highlight how clubs are set up. Farke and his squad must believe that constantly bending the ear of match officials does bring results (otherwise they would not do it) but it does generate a toxic atmosphere, and that atmosphere was apparently continued on Instagram where BOS received racist threats to him and his family! Ball did play the ball and Cantwell did dive, with both Nick London & Andy Sinton both saying they expected Cantwell to get booked for diving. You could argue that Ball should have known he was going to go down at the first opportunity, but Ball's role is to engage and he had been under sustained pressure as time after time he broke up play. The villain is Cantwell, not Ball - just as much as BOS did nothing wrong as he did not dive, wanting to score but the push was enough. It would be nice to hear Farke say we played as well as them - the league leaders!
