Cannot argue with that analysis Single, although would say that Burton came to defend and did a great job of it. Currently we are now 10th on 12 points, but if Notts Florist get anything out of their game then we drop to 11th position. If anything, this game showed that punting the ball up into a crowded final third does us no favours. We cannot break down a team using high balls to Smith. Positives: Scowen was fantastic; Osayi-Samuel did OK in the second half; and the makeshift Back 4 kept a clean sheet!

It was a poor performance, which even Holloway has admitted.
In my opinion he is getting the team wrong. Yes we have a lot of injuries which enforce pre-game changes, but he keeps having to make another 2 changes at half time which simply means he is choosing the wrong starting 11.
We are an ok mid table team, by no means awful but not strong enough to trouble the top 6. Still better than we expected I guess but it feels like we could actually be doing a bit better now the season is underway.
quite possibly the worst home game in years. Not having a go as we are decimated by injuries and illness. NO atmosphere, no inspiration in from any of the players, nearly feel asleep!
Are we heading same direction yet again Injuries, lack of goals,no real deadly striker Holloway making weird team selections I hope we are not ,on a positive side we are midtable Unbeaten in the league at home and have exciting new young players on board As long as we stay up that's the main thing
It gets no easier Barnsley away and then a dreaded sky live game which we always shine in (not)against Fulham who we normally get hammered by just like Brentford do to us
It was a sarcastic quip mate To sum up the game What highlights?
Easy to miss Single when you are always concerned that your great website may have a technical glitch! Have to agree though - precious few highlights!! ???
Agree with NWHoop that Ollie should not need to make double changes at half-time as if the norm for a game. I said prior to the game that I felt Ollie should try Smith & Sylla as an attacking option, but Ollie opted for Mackie & Washington, who rarely worked well together against a very tight defence. Bringing on Smith at half-time to replace Furlong seemed a desperate move (as it exposed the right flank and forced Wzsolek to stay back more), and to substitute Ngbakoto for Osayi-Samuel seemed equally desperate (although he was more effective). Sylla finally appeared on the 70 minute mark, too late it seems to be effective. We really are struggling with our strikers!

Definitely kingfisher he is struggling to know which strikers to play in which game. Last week Smith starts but only lasts 45 minutes. This week he is back on the bench but is shoved on at half time the complete opposite.
Sylla deserves a start in one of thetwo games in 3 days this week.

Well let's hope Sylla gets his chance to start on Tuesday northwesthoop (and that he delivers)! Hopefully he will be put alongside Smith from the start. (I would have Mackie as a 'super-sub' as he is an impact player.) Washington is another concern as he is obviously struggling, even though he had a dream start to the season. It is bad when Baptiste can be considered to have had the best performance in the box on Saturday!
