What a whirlwind season it has been, especially since Christmas! And here we are with the final update of the main season with only the play offs to come next weekend
And what a final day it was to be with the highest scoring match of the season!
Everybody went for a QPR win but not only that jalfrezi, ashqpr and SydneyR went for 3-1 in a great call!
It was perhaps written in the stars that Charlie Austin would end his loan with the first goal and so it came to pass. It was predicted by stoatey, qprallan, onenightfever, jalfrezi, CutePR, QPRBex, ranger-boy, minxymartin, SydneyR and MaxQPR for 6 big points.
stoatey, kingfisher, woodork, Ghost, jalfrezi, CutePR, MCM Hoop, ashqpr, ranger-boy, Rosco Bosco, SydneyR, MaxQPR and e17hoop all had the 16-30 first goal time. Nobody got more than a single point from the bonus match which Coventry won 6-1!
What that all means is that for the first ever time CutePR is our champion; the QPR Prediction League winner 2020/21! It was an emphatic win in the end with the best phase score we've ever seen and after topping Phase 2 and being the highest scoring player across the whole season anyway CutePR is a well deserving winner and now gets a gold star on the forum! Superb.
Behind CutePR onenightfever rounded off a season of transformation securing the silver medal in his first ever phase in Division 1. onenightfever has picked up wooden spoons in the last 2 seasons but now has the silver medal! MCM Hoop just holds onto the bronze medal which is richly deserved having been in the top 3 for the majority of the season. MaxQPR and ashqpr have to settle for 4th and 5th
At the bottom there was no change which means both qprallan and LurkR are relegated for the first ever time. LurkR headed into this season as back to back reigning champion but ends it sliding into Division 2. Rosco Bosco will be in the play offs to try and stay in Division 1.
In Division 2 we were on the verge of incredible drama but minxymartin and e17hoop just hold on to the automatic promotion places. Jalfrezi Rs scored an amazing 15 points but it just wasn't enough to catch e17hoop who ended up dropping to 2nd but gets promoted by 1 point. minxymartin started the season and Division 2 champion and ends it as Division 2 champion once again! Well done to minxymartin and e17hoop on getting back to the big time.
jalfrezi will be in the play offs next weekend along with woodork and kingfisher who both had a poor Phase 2 but now have a chance to start next season in the top flight. QPRBex just misses out by 1 point despite scoring 9 points.
There was more drama at the bottom too, with SydneyR - who has been bottom for the last 6 weeks - scoring 15, his best score in over 2 years, to escape the bottom 3 and finishes 7th. stoatey escaped the bottom 3 too with a brilliant 13 points. That leaves me dead last and collecting the wooden spoon trophy. surrey chad and @tomcat75 round out the bottom 3.

The 4 players in the play-offs... Jalfrezi Rs, kingfisher, woodork and Rosco Bosco will battle it out like our cups in a one off, winner takes all play-off. This will be next weekend.
