Sheffield United added in 1st. If they can re-find their winning mentality they have a squad made for this division. They also have some very expensive players who are 'flops' currently and those players like Brewster will be eager to prove they have what it takes. It could go the other way (like when we came down and still had Fer, Sandro, Caulker still in the team) but odds are they'll do ok.

Swansea = top of the bottom third. They're a bit of a mess - Eustace turning them down (despite it being a job promotion to a big club) was a huge red flag - and behind the curve in terms of getting ready for the new season. But there are worse teams in the division.

Bristol City dropped from 11th to 17th - They were a mess at the end of last season and I genuinely don't see them finishing above the likes of Luton, Millwall and Forest.

Well, let's see how well we did with our 'league table formed by committee'

RESULTS:

• We only had 1 team (Bristol City 17th) in the correct position - down from 4 exact last season
• We are progressively getting worse - from an average 4 places out in 2019/20 to 4.9 in 2020/21 and now to 6 out on average this season
• We had never previously been more than 15 places away from where a team finished but were worse twice this season > We had Barnsley 16 places too high and Huddersfield 17 places too low.
• We got 2 of the 3 relegated teams correct (Derby/Peterborough)
• For the first time we had neither of the automatic promotion teams correct (Fulham/Bournemouth) but matched last season by having 3 of the top 6 overall correct.
• Our other 'stinkers' were Cardiff 12 places too high in 6th, Reading 11 too high in 10th and Blackburn down in 18th, 10 places out!
• It was our worst prediction yet for QPR in the 3 attempts. We were 8 away, being far too optimistic with a prediction of 3rd!

Surely we can't do worse next season?
