I have not bothered to include our league position or points in the Thread title for obvious reasons, but hopefully I will be able to add '4pts' at then end of the match!
Apparently Amos & Chair are undergoing some level of training as they recover, and I must presume Masterson is there or thereabouts as he was a sub on Tuesday (unused). I have no idea about Sam McCallum [UPDATE: He had a stomach problem]. There are no other injuries (apart from Sam Field's of course) to worry about, so onto our opponents and our team selection....
Tell me if this seems a little familiar, but Hull were 1-1 against Wigan on Tuesday in the Cup at full time; and lost 8-7 on penalties. However, the previous Saturday they opened their Championship campaign with a resounding 4-1 victory away over Preston North End! That was after being a goal down too!! All four goals came from different players. So they are no slouches and, for what it is not worth, are currently top of the Championship table. They will certainly be looking to dominate QPR too.
News from Hull City:
My team selection:
Dieng
Dickie De Wijs Barbet
Odubajo Johansen Ball Wallace
Chair Austin Willock
Tricky one in regard to Austin, as he did not play well against Millwall, but I feel if Hull's defenders are as physical as in the past then Austin is a better bet. It was less of a contest, for me at least, in selecting Odubajo over Kakay as I felt on Tuesday Kakay was inconsistent (although there would be the possibility of playing Adomah there instead...). May be a lack of match time but this is not the game to risk finding out. The Rs need to start this northern tour with a win, hard-fought or not....

News from Hull City:
Grant McCann will welcome back five players for the home game against QPR – although forward Mallik Wilks won't be involved. Last season’s top scorer sustained a calf injury in the second half of the Tigers’ impressive opening day win at Preston. While he is unavailable, left-back Callum Elder is fit again after a thigh problem and the four players who tested positive for Covid-19 have now recovered. McCann said: “We’ll have five players back. Callum Elder is good, trained all week. "Sean McLoughlin, Randell Williams, Ryan Longman and Tommy Mayer have all come back and trained all week. That’s a plus for us.
