In the summer we are going to do a few podcasts counting down the Top 50 QPR players as voted for by R's fans
It's all a bit of fun - nobody would have the same Top 50 in the same order - but amongst the fanbase we should come up with a fantastic list of QPR legends
It would be an arduous task for you if we asked you to list out and send to us your Top 50 QPR players and it would be hard to then collate all the responses....
...so to make it a lot quicker and a lot more fun I am using the "pub meeple" ranking engine.
We have 120 QPR players up for selection and they have initially been split into 6 groups, each containing 20 players. "pub meeple" is a fantastic tool that will allow you to rank each group by choosing between 2 players at a time and at the end it gives you your own personal top 20... but at my end it will combine all of the votes to form an overall ranking for the 20 players in each group
It takes about 3 to 5 minutes to rank each group of 20 players and it is a fun way of taking part - it is basically like a dating app... but choosing between QPR players! It gives you a progress bar at the top of the page as you make your way through the selections.
We are starting with Group A. Groups B to F will follow in the coming weeks to spread it out. Once the initial groups have been ranked there will be some play offs to sort the final 50 and then further votes to order the Top 50 as we head towards the summer.
To take part in Group A just click this link > rankingengine.pubmeeple.com/?t=c7fca97a-dde6-4eed-9e07-04ca221efd96
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are using a mobile device you can just tap the name of the player you are voting for in each pairing
On a desktop computer you can either click on the name or use the left and right arrow keys to vote
Whatever device you are using their is an undo button you can click to go back to the previous choice if you click/select the wrong name
At the end it will display your own top 20 based on your selections in that group and you can just exit the programme. Your results will then be stored along with everybody else's at my end.
Some people will choose who they think is the best, some will pick their favourites but overall it will balance out.
Have fun and thank you advance for taking part and helping us put together something that should be really interesting and create a lot of debate!
