Great result with 10 men Puts that bad run to an end at last Shame sheff United scored in the 92nd min against Blackburn though Huddersfield also scored a 96th min goal

If you predict Dunne to score first enough eventually you'll be right hey kingfisher
But what on earth was Sanderson doing? Why react like that and headbutt the guy literally right in front of the ref? Crazy. He will be banned for 3 games now too.
We had looked relatively comfortable to that point too. Blackpool not even had a shot!
Well I felt Dunne stood more chance of scoring than any of the strikers, so it was just a question of when....
Do agree about Sanderson being stupid. There was just no need and only one result from that.
Well done to stoatey for realising Ball could come on, but that meant sacrificing Chair or Willock, and it was the latter who was rested.
We defended extremely well, even with 10 men, and deserved to win. Blackpool lacked ambition and left themselves exposed as they looked for goals. Happy!!
If we can defend like tonight Dickie has had a 2 game rest too Blackburn are really struggling to score goals Their top striker is injured We can get at least a draw
absolutely massive win that, I'm struggling to complete a sentence without punching the air and swearing
Likewise, it was a huge night to get a win even before we went down to 10 men. To get a win in those circumstances could be a huge moment.
It's so tight too, if teams below win their games in hand there are about 7 teams covered by 3 points from us in 3rd downwards, or something like that.
if we came away from that with a draw i wouldnt have felt as happy as i do today
lets have a brief match report from my time in the rain last night
first of all the team was named and i saw lack of striker so i was a little concerned but hopeful as it had looked like we could play without a striker for a while now
first half we looked comfortable at 1-0 it looked like we would go on and get at least 1 more
then Sanderson for some reason after looking so comfortable and 1 of our best players on the park lost his head i saw it very clear from where i was and i thought "oh no hes used his head there he could be off" and hey presto from that moment i thought were gonna have to hold on here then 2nd half it was all hands on deck
thought all the defenders including both fullbacks worked like trojans i thought hendrick looked very good too throughout
think the next game we will need to play with a striker
when they brought Thomas on i was like "why"? but fair play to hime he created our winner when we had little to offer going forward and i was almost out the door as i was stood up ready to go home drenched thru the light rain
strange thing was i didnt celebrate as im not impressed with our recent form
that was an easy 3 points made so difficult
not convinced we will get much from Blackburn will be happy with a draw
Scores on the doors
Dieng 7 Adomah 7 Sanderson 7 (before sending off) 5 after send off (he lost his head and could have cost us dearly) Dunne 9 MOM goal and a rock in defence especially in first half looked very comfy Barbet 7 Odubajo 7 Field 8 Hendrick 8 Johansen 7 Chair 7 Willock 6
rub a dubs Ball 7 Amos 7 for the last minute tap in Thomas 7 (for the set up and the closing down)
i see West London Sport gave Dom ball an 8 also so even more proof why Ball is such a valuable squad member
what i do find strange about last night is (after watching it back after being there) is when we went to 1-1 we then became the better side again so had we tried to score another instead of defending we could have won more comfortable even with 10 men
seemed backs to the wall lat night when at the game but viewing it back
Thanks @tomcat75 for the match report. I agree that Ball managed to come on and play as if he had always been there - the mark of a true professional. Thinking back, he was even assertive in pushing forward!
WLS reported the plan was to bring on a striker later on, but Sanderson's red card changed that plan! Instead we had Chair and Johansen chasing hard, and they needed to be replaced by fresher legs. Luckily those coming on were excellent!
