HUGE win. Massive win.
There was no way we deserved that but sometimes you just have to take it any way it comes.
First half we were terrible. We looked bereft of ideas, just so slow.
Luton weren't nearly as good in the second half and after the penalty it was even. Luton didn't seem to have the same energy in the second half and maybe paid the penalty for playing in midweek. We still weren't great but were in the game and like I say just have to take the win!
Hopefully that can give the whole club a boost, galvanise the players and get the confidence flowing again.
One final thing, I think we need to rest Chair - in January without Chair and just with Willock alone were flying and looked better at the end today with just Willock. We need to try that again.

Perhaps we need to give NW credit here...I said at the start that the lineup only made sense in my eyes if MW's strategy was to weather the storm, let Luton tire and then win the game in the 2nd half...if indeed that was his strategy then it worked perfectly...except for the howler by Marshall
That said I STILL DON'T LIKE HENDRICK as a starting option...Why not have Dozzell play just in front of the back three, he's pretty good in defence and he DOESNT PASS BACKWARDS ALLLLLL THE TIME! He has a really good eye for a pass

Yeah, its hard to argue with our Jan form...I still think our best team is Chair and Willock together but maybe we need to mix it up a bit during the run in and unleash them both in the playoffs...if we make it

In getting to 59 points QPR have already surpassed the total from Mark Warburton's first season in charge (2019/20 : 58 points) with 10 games to spare.
59 points is actually more than QPR have managed to get in total in 7 of the last 10 seasons.
That was Rob Dickie's 5th goal of the season but his first since August ending a run of 33 games without a goal.
Andre Gray is the first QPR player to score in consecutive games since Chris Willock did it against Blackpool and Luton in November.
Oh and ranger-boy make sure you watch it back on Sky as we saw you a few times, including before the winner
Now that was SPECIAL! An absolutely fantastic day out and home by 3.30pm! Why can't all away days be like that?
I wouldn't exactly say we were poor today. The tactic looked to be to contain Luton in the first half (which we mostly did) and to go for it in the second half (again, which we did). We needed a slice of luck to get us going, and we got that with the penalty. At that point, I'd have been delighted to see the game out for a well earned point. However to push on and steal the win was something else!
Any other day, Chair gets sent off for that. You simply can not put your hands in an opponents face like that, so he's a very lucky boy. Thankfully he got booked, so now they can't give him a retrospective ban down the line.
Days like this just make the long slogs all over the country and the misery worth it! Roll on Wednesday and Forest away!

Well done ranger-boy, tremendous support from you and the other fans today. Since your appearance on the podcast we now all recognise you and it was great to see you on Sky today.
"Willock has been nursing a knee injury in recent weeks but the decision to put him on the bench was tactical as he wanted to negate Luton’s strong pressing game by selecting a physical midfield".
Strange then that he played Hendrick rather than Amos.
Then he followed with,
"I keep telling people they don’t realise how good Moses Odubajo is, he has the attributes to play at the highest level".
I can only presume that maybe Odubajo plays a sport other than football?
Lets talk about it......got back late from the game as my motor broke down
first half we didnt show up i felt the adebayo goal should have counted as to me it looked onside (if the rule is if your level your onside)
2nd half i felt we were by far the better side although we didnt do anything special
MW team selection i was surprised he left out Willock and played Chair i did feel one of them would be left out the starting XI just felt like it would have been Chair instead of willock
scores on the doors
Marshall 7 (yes made a howler with the goal but if you watch back which i will do later today you will see he was amazing with some shot stopping) Odubajo 8 (i think the rest of you are noticing now just what a good player he is was surprised he was started on the right instead the left but did himself justice yesterday) Dickie 6 (despite his match winner im a little concerned with his form ....from being first name on the sheet for me i think he could be ousted from Sanderson who has more pace) Dunne 8 (outstanding again and a real charachter i didnt or haven t seen his celebrations as yet as i was gone right on final whisle was sat with Luton fans so couldnt celebrate the great victory like i would hvae had i been in the QPR end) Barbet 7 (didnt see him do anything wrong looked comfy on the ball as usual) Wallace 6 (for me he wouldnt have started and was surprised he saw out the whole 90 minutes end of first half i was expecting Albert on for him to see the no changes at half time which we were shocking in was an OMG moment) Field 9 (brilliant throughout and for me he stood out as our best player by far in first half he gray, marshall, dunne and moses were only 5 that showed up) Hendrick 5 ( gave the ball away a few times and had my hand in my face on number of occasions couldnt believe chair was taken off instead of him at the time kind of celebrated when he eventually got taken off) Johansen 6 ( did ok not the Stefan of last season but you can tell is a great charachter) Chair 6 (anonymous needs a rest would bench him at forest and play Willock) Gray 7 (great energy at start of game and same 2nd half to take the penalty like he did showed real guts and to be fair the penalty changed the game which he won brilliantly)

About fair Tomcat, but not sure Field was quite a 9 and you are very generous to Marshall with a 7. The one big save he made was offside anyway and the goal he did concede must knock a couple of points off surely? I was very nervous the rest of the game, he's lost the confidence of most fans and his own confidence must be low.
Is Dillon Barnes worth a shot at this stage? We can't have a goalkeeper who keeps gifting the opposition a goal every single game and sadly Marshall is doing just that. Could argue the last 4 goals we've conceded were all preventable.
In other news everybody... a new GIF is available on site

Luton v QPR player ratings By Ian McCullough 13/03/2022
QPR came from behind to beat Luton 2-1 and move to fourth in the Championship table. Here’s how we rated the Rangers players.
David Marshall: 6 Another goalkeeping howler from the Scotland international, who allowed Cameron Jerome’s tame shot to squirm through his hands to give Luton the lead. Had very little to do second half but was solid when called upon.
Moses Odubajo: 8 Excellent display from the wing-back. Defensively solid, broke up several attacks with some well-timed interceptions and got forward with good purpose when in attack.
Rob Dickie: 7 Grabbed the late winner off his shoulder from a corner to grab a vital three points for his side. Had his hands full with the giant Luton forwards in the first half but kept the in-form Elijah Adebayo largely in check. One poor pass that went into touch aside, a solid display.
Jimmy Dunne: 7 Had a real physical tustle with Jerome and although the 35-year-old front man had his moments against the big Irish defender, Dunne stuck to his task well both on the ground and in the air.
Yoann Barbet: 7 Also solid alongside his central defensive partners, become more of an attacking threat as Luton tired in the second half.
Lee Wallace: 7 The veteran Scot used all of his experience to help grind out the win. Dealt well with Luton’s threat from out wide in an accomplished performance.
Sam Field: 7 Grew into the game after struggling to get a foothold in the first half due to Luton’s frantic approach in midfield. Excellent in the second period as Rangers finished the stronger.
Stefan Johansen: 7 Like Field, the Rangers skipper grew into the game in the second half after struggling in the first as the home side’s intense pressing dropped off and he was allowed more time to dictate play.
Jeff Hendrick: 5 Another underwhelming display from the Irish international, who struggled against Luton’s aggressive midfield. Lucky to see a Hatters goal chalked off for offside in the first half after being caught in possession. Withdrawn in the second half for Luke Amos and Rangers looked better for it.
Ilias Chair: 5 Not really his game as Luton harried and pressed Rangers, leaving Chair as a somewhat isolated figure, left to try and win headers against big centre-backs. Escaped with a yellow card after late challenge on Kal Naismith on the stroke of half-time. Replaced in the second half by Charlie Austin.
Andre Gray: 7 Did very well to win and score the penalty that put Rangers on level terms when he skipped past Naismith and then converted the spot-kick in nonchalant fashion. Made plenty of runs in a hard-working display but they were often unrewarded. Replaced late in the game by Chris Willock.
Luke Amos: 7 Added some zip to the Rangers midfield after being introduced in the second half. Booked for a crunching tackle but played his part in seeing out a crucial victory.
Charlie Austin: 6 His presence was enough to cause confusion in the Luton defence as his quick step took away the defender that should have been marking Dickie for the goal.
Chris Willock: 7 Surprisingly left out of the starting line-up, but his presence late in the game against a tiring Luton defence had the desired effect as he won free-kicks and caused plenty of problems in his 15-minute cameo.
VERY SURPRISED Austin getting a 6 Willock a 7 Amos a 7
as all 3 subs did very little when coming on
and very suprised Field got a 7 when he was minimum an 8
