i think the real drama started after the defeat against Cardiff at home

dominated that and somehow lost.....but as we had done similar in other home games earlier in the season Bristol City sticks out most....it was clear that something was wrong

the confidence was lost by then.....then we repeated the exact same outcome with Posh at home but the damage of the cardiff game was fresh in their heads

remember leaving the ground that day after the defeat by Cardiff.......and all of us were looking at each other thinking

"we could mess this up you know"

there was something in the air after that game ......i remember it like it was yesterday everyone was bemused

thought it impossible to get the same kind of result versus Peterborough as well

if someone said after we beat Luton away that they would be better off than us in the play off race we would have thought it was impossible

but now look at us

The De Wijs one is an easy one with hindsight, at the time he had been injured for months and the thought was do we risk he will be fine or get in another defender as cover.
Sanderson made a lot of sense, ticked all the boxes for what we needed as he could play right or left of a back 3 but obviously didn't work the way they hoped.

The club these days are pretty 'tight-lipped' about anything that would be considered by other regimes as titbits, so I guess we will not know for at least a year or so until MW produces an autobiography.... 

I guess this could happen and if it does we will be breaking a club record - I can't see Warburton surviving in that scenario

Our longest run of defeats in league and cup combined is 10 from October to November 1955, when we lost 8 league matches and got knocked out of 2 cups.

I think Derby at home is a huge match for Warburton to avoid defeat. Away at in form Huddersfield on sky most fans will be fearing the worst and expect a defeat. But to follow it up by losing at home to Derby on Monday could be a the final straw. I can imagine it getting quite angry at Loftus Road if we lose that one to make it 7 defeats in a row.
