Michael Beale, Steven Gerrard's assistant at Aston Villa, is poised to become the new manager of Queens Park Rangers.
I suspect that if his salary is upwards of £600k/annum it can be funded from the money they are now saving from the release of Charlie who was on a reputed £1m/annum. It does seem a lot of money and a big risk for someone whose never managed but it's a gamble whoever we bring in.
I am of the opinion that Beale is probably the best coach available, but I cannot help wondering if he was their first choice then why did it take so long to appoint him...? It does seem chaotic - even if it is not!
As said elsewhere on the Forum: Look out for the Hoops & Dreams QPR Podcast on Michael Beale's Appointment. It was recorded within 2 hours of the announcement!
Now the team building gain gain pace - first step is Albert Adomah's acceptance by Michael Beale.....

I wouldn't keep him. There I've said it.
I don't think he has the legs any longer. I sense we are keeping him because he's a QPR fan and not because of what he brings to the team. We should be looking to bring in a winger with blistering pace who is 10-15 years younger.

Unless you have a name in the frame already then far better to stick with Albert. You know he will give 100% all the time. The fact they are begotiating already with him means they do not have another right winger in mind....
Yeah, I think it's worth pointing out that Albert went above and beyond to turn himself into a left wing back which he did a pretty damn good job of until he ran out of steam.
He's definitely still got the legs to me a left midfield player imo and as has been said he will give everything he's got
He's (reportedly) a high earner, so unless he's taking a decent drop in wages I still don't think he's enough to justify staying. If he stays on the wages we are led to believe he's on (north of £10k) we are making a mistake as we could get 2 players for that money.
To me wages spent on Adomah are dead money. He has no resale value. We should invest the wages in younger talent.
