I doubt the club know who they want yet, they'll have their eye on a few like manning and will be seeing who shows interest. Every time we've had a vacancy there has been panic that Sherwood would get it, think if he was going to be our manager would have happened by now

What has not happened is an announcement on the new manager. I am hoping that means they are still assessing probable candidates, rather than making a knee-jerk decision...
They'll be seeing who fancies the job and who is affordable, i wouldn't expect anyone to be appointed soon. If it's Manning they go for he won't be available for a few more weeks
Part of the logic in going for Manning may well be his connection with the two MK players, who should really be playing at a higher level. And the thinking may be we stand a better chance of getting them if we got the manager too. For reference they are Scott Twine and Harry Darling. Think we’d have to act fast with Twine because there will be LOTS of attention on him this summer, maybe even from Prem teams.
John Eustace is now the favourite for the Watford job, with Roy Hodgson departing at the end of the season.
I think I should mention that Mark Warburton cut his senior football coaching at Watford and still has fond memories of the club. When you include there far better budget (courtesy of the PL payment) and PL-standard players - do you think Warburton will say 'No'?
He's been at Oxford for 4 years and they have arguably started to go backwards after a few play off seasons. He's not achieved a promotion. Yes they play some decent stuff, but beyond that I'm not sure why he is always linked to us.
How many Championship clubs changed manager this season? And none went for Robinson.
James Rowberry Can’t understand why we’re interested in him either then His record for his last eight games is 6 losses so I’m led to believe I actually like farke or dyche but they are not going to come to us and they never would anyway if asked The kid from MK dons won’t come to us if he gets them promoted and then that leaves a pretty weak list of candidates for the job

I agree singlespeed the Rowberry one makes no sense either. Very un-inspiring.
If they were after Farke or Dyche I think it would be announced by now because they knew for a while Warburton was going so could have been talking to them already.
The board probably didn't plan on other teams like Blackburn needing a new manager too, which really makes the search harder.
