Full backs remain a concern.
Bonne is certainly doing his very best to impress but to me the whole team has looked tired and leggy. As I said they did a lot of running this week, this is the second match and they did a double session yesterday. That could explain it.
But generally we still lack urgency in our play. Like last season we get to the final third and unless we pick the perfect pass we don't create that much.
The likes of Thomas, Dunne and Shodipo were clearly trying too hard when they came on.
We still really lack pace too.
A good match for Beale because it will reinforce where he knows we need to improve on the pitch and strengthen off it.

Yes Beale should have had a lot of preconceptions proved by this performance, and they were looking a little jaded (as will occur during the season's relentless fixture list). I did feel Shodipo was again failing in his defensive duties, being happy to walk when the ball was not in his immediate area. Our pace was coming from Shodipo though (in the last match), along with Jake C-S (when defending) and Paal on the attack. So introducing Hamalainen & Kakay means not only lost quality but also pace. I have been impressed by Drew though at RB!
So who will start up front against Blackburn? I think we can forget Willock, but Chair has surely done enough to guarantee his inclusion; and that leaves 2 from Dykes, Kelman, Shodipo, Tyler-Roberts (if fit), and Bonne.... My guess is Chair & Dykes supporting Bonne if Tyler-Roberts is unavailable, but that is just a guess! What do you think?
