You also do need a bit of luck with your signings As we’ve proved hardly any have worked out But micheal beale in a way sort of was like Brentford got paal in from a club we never heard of and he’s not a bad player at all

As an example of what could happen in the future for the Rs@
The talk amongst the fans at Loftus Road when I was last there was that the club is turning to upgrading the current site. I feel that can only be achieved by dropping the pitch and rebuilding a stand at a time. After this was completed I doubt we would have more than 22,000 capacity though...
Queens Park Rangers are actively seeking new investors with the funds to build a new state-of-the-art stadium at Loftus Road and establish the club as regular members of the Premier League.
Mail Sport has seen a sales pitch sent to potential investors by American bank Montminy & Co which values the club at around £120m, with ambitions to grow much bigger.
The glossy brochure is titled Project Big Ben and makes much of QPR's location in London, which it describes as the fourth wealthiest city in the world by GDP per capita, a fact which may be lost on much of the club's fan-base.
According to the brochure QPR's valuation by Montminy is based on the current 18,000-capacity Loftus Road being worth between £50m and £64m, their new TSG training ground which opened last year valued at £25m and their playing assets at around £34m.
No idea how they arrive at playing assets of £34m.
I am guessing they include in the player value and assumed value for those in development - hence the £34 overall value? The implication in the last sentence is that discussions are actively ongoing with a 'local municipal authority', which I take to mean a London borough.
That’s true Like Brentford and many other clubs have done we will have to move home eventually to another site Yes loftus road will always be regarded our home and all the great memories it holds and just the whole atmosphere you get there But it’s way past it’s sell by date now and compared to other grounds it really is in the dark ages Yes it’s hold a lot of heritage and all that but West Ham left Upton park,Arsenal Highbury and Brentford griffin park We live in 2024 now and we could have a much better venue to hold our home games, our new training ground is brilliant by all accounts and kingfisher will probably tell us I think it would be impossible to give loftus road a face lift
I agree with singlespeed there is not enough open space at loftus Road to build a modern stadium with all the facilities a football fan expects. and there is not enough room to enlarge the capacity to the 30000 that would be the minimum for a sustained run in the premiership.
The unfortunate thing is that Fulham and Hammersmith council do not think we are an asset to the area and have not tried to help us with any of our previous proposed sites. Also in such a built up area suitable site for such a stadium are very limited
We should be looking at Ealing or Brent where hopefully the councils would recognize the financial benefits of 20-30000 people coming into that area. There are many more sites in Ealing and Brent that could accommodate a stadium, with a favourable council this could become possible.
Also if we do move to Brent we would be going back to the roots of the club.
A lot of new football stadiums get used for other events like concerts So they are always earning income even when no games are on We need to consider another site at some point but maybe what league we are in might affect the timescale of that
