77 mins and the defensive line is broken by a decently threaded ball through BUT it looks offside. Sadly, neither the linesman or referree seemed to see it that way, so it is 2-0.
FT and we lose 2-0, dropping to 7th place with Millwall leapfrogging over us with an AWAY win against PNE. A really disappointing last match before the World Cup break. I have to question why (again) substitutions were made so late in a game that demanded fresh legs. These were not good goals to concede, but the important point is that our attack was second best for the vast majority of time. We lost it often as the attacking midfielders tried to prise their defence apart, rather than use the wings. I am guessing this is what they were instructed to do?

I think Beale needs to consider how we don't get enough bodies in the box. Dykes was by himself time after time. Unless we put in a world class ball that gets to him and not their 3 centre backs how can we score?
We have literally imploded. 1 point from 15. Jeez.
Long 4 weeks now to stew on this run of form. Only Burnley up next...
I personally think Beale has run out of ideas already All the teams we’ve played recently seem to have worked out our game plan very easily and we’ve failed to score Very poor end towards the World Cup break
No win in 5 games One goal scored 3rd straight defeat Beaten by bottom in league by a team who hadn’t won away all season Beaten by another team who were bottom 3 at home few days before that Gone from top of the league to joint 7th It’s very grim indeed at the moment

I have sympathy for Beale because when we are without key players he has to choose from some very average replacements. Trying to replace Leon Balogun, Stefan Johansen, Kenneth Paal and Tim Iroegbunam from our squad is an impossible task.
JCS is never a left back, Dozzell isn't good enough, Dickie has to be the slowest player we've ever had and when you have subs like Thomas, Shodipo, Hamalianen and Kakay as your change options it shows our limitations.
Where I do believe Beale has made a mistake is bringing in Richards and Roberts who are both sick notes and even when they do play they add nothing.
At the start of the season if someone had said Beale would have us in 7th as we go into the World Cup break I'd have taken that. I still believe that with our squad he's done a brilliant job to get us in the top 10.
Over the last 3 games we have had 58 goal attempts.
Does anyone know how many of the were shots from outside the area.
Seems that we have too many similar type players. Chair Willock Roberts Tim Armstrong all like running with the ball at there feet but when they look up there is only ever 1 player (Dykes) waiting for the cross. without Amos and occasionally Johansen there is no one making the runs from midfield into the box.
Too easy to double team Dykes with 2 big centre backs because teams have worked out that he is the only danger from a cross from open play.

Exactly. You could put Haaland on the pitch today and he wouldn't score. We created nothing. Literally nothing.
I want Beale to watch that match back with the players and freeze frame the match on the many, many occasions when we had the ball but Dykes is in the box with no QPR players anywhere near him. They really need to think of a different plan of attack.
Only QPR could go top and then score 1 goal and get 1 point from the next 5 games.
I'm sure he is as exacerbated as the rest of us. Yesterday isn't really the issue. If we'd picked up the points that we should have at home against the bottom 2 we'd be fine.
In his defence I would add:
Assuming Beale's preferred/strongest QPR line up is:
...this team has yet to start together this season
Even if you change Dykes for Roberts and that is still only 1 start for his favoured 11 (Bristol City away)
Injuries are hurting us. We have no decent options off the bench to try and change a game once injuries hit. When everybody is fit it means we have the likes of Amos and Roberts to come off the bench, who can impact a game. Otherwise it is the likes of Shodipo, who is simply not good enough.
I agree with your comments Our bench is very light in depth We have a lot of injuries too But we also have been poor in the last few games, started very slowly especially last 2 home games Coventry are a decent side on form so I didn’t expect much from that with our patched up side But our recent form is worrying if it continues after the World Cup
