England were by far the better team last night, but like the championship for the past few seasons this world cup has been very unpredictable.


Up until last night I had been impressed  by France but last night they looked very average and allowed England to dominate the game


If France play like that again there is no reason why Morocco could not beat them.

Have we ever had a player in the semi-finals of a world cup squad.

We were always going to struggle against 12...... Only an organisation as inept and corrupt as FIFA could entrust last night's game to a referee of that calibre!

I do agree we played as well as France and, weird referee decisions apart, deserved to go into extra time level. If that had happened then we would have won as we have better players coming off the bench than the French, but..... 

yeah Ref was awful but wasn't why we lost, he actually played a good advantage when we got the 1st penalty

was such a close game. I thought England had the better of the second half, a 2-2 draw with extra time would have probably been fair but wasn't to be.

Will he be home in time for the Preston game
I forgot he’d have to sit on the bench for that stupid 3rd place game
Maybe boss should give his subs some minutes in this game

even though he didnt play we got a good amount of money for the club out of it 
hopefully he does play some part in the 3rd place play off match 

Yes that was my thought too, but at least we get another 3 days of payments from FIFA....

Nice to see him get 45 minutes. Watched it this morning and he wasn't greatly involved but what he did was neat and tidy and he showed some skill once or twice.

Interesting that his name should be pronounced SHY-EAR or something like that!
