Whilst he's played as a striker he's more of a wide man but his addition will give us the option. Not sure what is expected of Lowe but it shouldn't be a lot of goals or assits . His Championship record at Swansea was 1 goal every 4 games and at Bounemouth it was 1 goal in 5. He was never credited with an assist at Swansea but did manage 2 at Bournemouth.
With 20 league games to go the best we should expect is 4 or 5 goals.
It would be great to see Lowe out perform his current stats but like Richards and Roberts I'm not sure our board have done a lot of homework in looking at his record.
If roberts went back to Leeds He would be a much improved option He is a very good player who will put in a lot more effort than some of players we currently have on board

He may well be an improved signing on Roberts and I hope he is. All I'm saying is that he's not prolific and we shouldn't expect him to score loads of goals.
I wouldn't criticise Roberts for lack of effort because he does try. The issue when we signed him was that hes never been a regular goal scorer. His Leeds record was a goal every 11 games and therefore, our board/Les/manager/ fans can't expect him to start doing something he's never done before. In fact for us I think his record is slightly worse and is now 1 goal in 13 games.
We heard Sir Les say in the summer that when they appointed Mick Beale they did a load of homework to make sure they got the right manager. IMO That's exactly as it should be.
What I'd like to know from Les and the board is how much research goes into signing players because I'd suggest it's very little. When we had some money from selling Eze we invested in 3 strikers (Dykes, Bonne and Kelman) that cost us £5million, none of them were proven goal scorers. At the same time Brentford invested £5million in Ivan Toney a proven goal scorer.
My point is that if our club sign a 1 goal in 5 games forward or a 1 goal in 11games forward then we cant be disappointed if that's what they end up doing. It's not the players fault.
IMO The incompetence lies with our owners and the board.

Have to disagree with you on this stoatey. In my view Roberts - especially in recent appearances - has looked completely disinterested and seems to now think QPR are beneath him and he gives the impression he would rather be anywhere else than playing for QPR.
I can't wait to see the back of him. He looked great in some early cameos but has not shown anything recently, hitting a real low against Fleetwood when he came on and just tried nonchalant flicks.
Do agree with you though that the club need to stop signing 1 goal in 5 game strikers and hope they suddenly become lethal. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
We should get Ashley barnes from Burnley Bit past it but he scores goals He’s got that bully boy type of attitude who’d any defender would hate to mark I think he would do well as a short term loan deal

Tod Kain and Mac Bonne are having medicals at Charlton. Not sure if this is clever by them or not, because although they are free they have not been great players....
jamal lowe is a good player but i must admit he is very similar to what we already have in the squad he doesnt add too much attacking threat or goals if were realistic why didnt we get a man city or arsenal youngster whos raring to get some first team action there must be loads of raw talent out there who wants to prove themselves
