Great comeback but wasnt pretty to watch apart from brentfords second goal which was great. Poor defending on the first goal but credit to the lad because thats a hard goal to score even with that room.
I didnt see much difference in the way we played before or after smith. Before he came on we passed it to about 3/4 of the pitch and then passed it back for baptiste to smash it up top. When smith is on they dont bother with the passing 3/4 of the pitch. Either way all we do is long ball it up top.
midfield impressed me, all work hard. All comfortable on the ball and can pass we just dont go through them enough. Lua Lua never looks interested to me, its like hoilette 2.0 He must do something in training that gets him in ahead of wheeler. Washington runs and tries hard but really needs to work on his finishing and movement in the box. As NW said we have no pace which is probably why we just smash the ball to the strikers. I would really like to see us play shodipo when he is fully fit as he would take players on, had the pace to scare a defence. Likewise that lad on loan ad Wycombe Eze looks to at least be a step above league 2 so maybe see what he can do. These lads would get much more love from the fans because they came through with us i think.

Everything we do is in front of the opposition.
We do 5 or 6 nice passes but all too slow so then all routes forward are cut off by the opposition, we end up passing backwards and punt it long. Repeat.
Completely agree QPRsmith that we need to play the likes of Eze, Shodipo and Osayi-Samuel - young players who get at teams, can beat a man and scare defenders.
I know some fans think we played OK but I just did not see that. The most undeserved draw I think I have ever witnesses and papers over the cracks.
To be fair i did think we had our moments and also massive game changing moment not to give us the pen and send the lad off. But yes the cracks are still very visible. I dont think we will see many/any youngsters any time soon because Ollie knows we are under pressure and for some reason the general feeling in football is if you are in abit of a hole then you want experienced players.
IMO the cracks have been there for sometime they just keep getting bigger and bigger. Defensively I don' see things getting better for a long long time. Robinson and Bidwell do ok but Baptiste is too slow. Even when they are fit and ready for selection the likes of Onuhoa, Perch, Lynch and Caulker don' fill me with much confidence as defenders. What makes things worse is that our forwards are not much better than our defence. Smith does alright when being brought on as a sub and deserves a bit of a run in the team. Mackie and Washington run about a lot but create little, Ngbakoto and Lua Lua are both liabilities, Sylla seems to play one good game then disappears in the next, JET has just disappeared.
The plus points for me are are Smithies, Freeman, Luongo and Scowen who have done well in most of our games.Lets hope they have been signed to long term contracts.
After last night's result I think Santa is wearing Blue and White Hoops and if he is still feeling generous could he please send us a goal scorer, 2 defenders who can defend but most of all we need a leader on the pitch.
I really don't think he had anything to apologise for. I get where he is coming from, it must be really disheartening to see your own fans walking out in numbers when you are trying to get something from the game. He might have gone a bit far in saying "you are not fans" but the bloke has passion. I was one those that left on 90 mins as I was bloody frozen!
Might be worth discussing this in a new thread as I am sure there will be some huge difference in opinion.
I'm with you on this Ollie did have a right to rub it in a bit I would of done,if my mate went early and I saw the comeback and he didn't I think his point is you stick by your team through thick and thin and you stay to the end no matter what,as you never know what's going to happen I'd of gone early if I was there too as it's very unusual for us to do that especially against Brentford live on sky I bet even some of the Brentford fans went early too thinking the game was in the bag I think Ollie knows he's under pressure and he just let out some heat of the moment comments He's apologised and water under the bridge now
