Site Update Summer 2023

I will just add to the comments from northwesthoop above, if I may....

We are learning all the time and adapting as it becomes clear where better ways are found to do things. Your input always helps! I would also like to add that the reason we have had so few interviews this season is not down to us, rather that as the results went south the club took the decision to restrict access to the players. You will have noticed that recently some have been giving interviews again, and it is no surprise this is as we start playing better! Next season we will be aiming for 4 -5 interviews with key players or club officials!!

Hi NW as always thanks for all your hard work over the season.

I was going to suggest removing the Non QPR Chat but you beat me too it, is there also any reason not to include the Transfer/Player stuff in the main chat? Personally I hardly ever get around to looking at it as it's in a seperate area but thats probably me being lazy.

I'm also trying to think why I don't post more. I'm not convinced there are any specific reasons I would say: time, how I feel about QPR (which may account for less traffic this year, has it been less in the second half of the season?) and access to the site, when working from home the VPN blocks the site.

In regards to volume of people contributing I guess the real driver for using the site is the excellent games you and Ghost offer us, perhaps we can all try to persude friends and family to play them and this will increase the chat!

Final point is there anyway of making each subject in the Forum smaller so you can see more subjects when you open it up and are therefore more likely to post on subjects further down the list.

I'm looking into anything further but for now I've reduced the size of the QPR crests that indicate new/no new posts and that has made the rows narrow, it should now show a few more subjects.

I'll see if I can amend further.


Update Friday PM - I've managed to make them as thin as I can - I've halved the size of the QPR crests on the thread selection pages. They still go blue when there is a thread with new content/posts

Th crests are also a bit smaller than before on the home page but not as small as the thread pages

LurkR let me know if this is what you meant and everybody else let me know if this is an improvement for you too?

It probably doubles the amount of visible thread titles to what we could see previously when scrolled to the top of the page

I prefer the seperate search to be honest on transfers and players
but i go with what everybody else prefers if it changes 
i take the forum how it comes 

where do i put my "ainsworth out thread" at the start of next season though 

Yes I was happy to go either way. Now that I've shrunk down the logos and got rid of non-QPR chat the home page fits more on anyway. We can always revisit in the future.


If anybody has anything else they think we could add change just post below.
