I think that we'd want at least £4m for Field and thats probably out of their budget range. I hope the Field report is just paper talk and that it's to deflect from Rangers real interest which is in Jose Cifuentes whose at L.A. and would be around £1.2m.
Beale did love Field, spoke about him all the time last summer.
I'm still amazed Beale hasn't taken Paal, Field and Willock to be honest, I thought at least 2 of those were inevitable.
Since the end of last season Beale was doing a lot of business and getting various new signings to sign pre contract deals that have now become permanent transfers. In total he's spent around £15 million in transfer fees alone. If he now also gets the midfielder from L.A. (c.£1.2m ) then we have to hope he doesn't have much more left in his kitty.

“But we’ve got the likes of Andre Dozzell, Stephen Duke-McKenna and even Kenneth Paal who can all fill in to that role. We’ve got opportunities now for people to come in and say ‘Right, I’ll take this. There’s always a window. When a door closes there’s always something for somebody. I’m looking forward now to seeing who can take this opportunity.”
Have to worry that he does not seem to know who is being picked! So who would you place in there to cover that vital role - Dozzell (as he has done it before); Duke-McKenna (because he will learn so much from starting alongside Sam Field); or Paal (whose use there would allow Larkeche time on the left)?
