A good point, we'd have surely all taken that before kick off.
Lack of goals seems more chronic than ever though.
And how's this for a stat I hoped I wouldn't be able to use...
QPR end 2023 having only won 8 games of football this year.
By my records this is the lowest amount of competitive wins in a calendar year in the clubs history.
QPR also only won 26 games in 2022 and 2023 combined, which is 1 less than the 27 games won in 2021 alone.
One area where we should have been getting some goals is set pieces. We had 9 corners to their 5 but most were poor, and the same applies to free kicks in a dangerous area. Teams will know how bad we are and take the hit on a foul....
Two decent calls for penalties ignored by the ref. Very poor from him!
It was, as expected, a tougher second half but we survived and generally played well as a team. against a team 3rd from the top, for a team 3rd from the bottom to draw at Portman Road is almost as good as a win!
We had to expect Ipswich to be better in the 2nd half but Im happy with a point and I thought that overall we were solid tonight.
It seems that the commentators were blaming the Ipswich performance on having to make 8 changes rather than praising us for a good team performance.
The clean sheet is a bonus just a shame we can't stick the ball in the net.
I said elsewhere that football, and our team specifically, matter little when you hear that a 80-year old lady died in that half time incident. Her trauma and the anguish of her family matters far more.
A few Ipswich supporters have been on our fan sites praising our fans there for their support shown for the lady who died watching her Tractor Boys. They also wished QPR well, band felt we were unlucky. Nice to hear all this.

Sad news about the lady Ipswich fan. Condolences to her family.
