one thing we maybe should look at from yesterday was the move with the long throw from our keeper and armstrong nearly scored with 2 passes after that maybe a more direct approach is what we need than all the passing it round with no end product warnock would of made us play like that especially with a rocket up front like armstrong
For me it is about variety. When we break up an attack the other team is out of position so it can be very effective to go direct, especially with Armstrong’s pace. No point slowing it down by passing it around at the back.
Also, when the other team are pressing high it is worth trying the odd long ball. Otherwise they can keep pressing with no risk of being caught up field.
That is what I was trying to say The long throw wasn’t one of our predictable passing moves and it nearly worked I agree ghost we need to mix it up a bit as we are easy to defend against otherwise
