Although Begovic is verging on a liability, we were pretty unlucky that the ball went in off Adomah. It could have gone anywhere but found the unlikely path into the goal off the post.
Begovic certainly doesn't inspire any confidence and he always looks uneasy from crosses but he is a decent shot stopper. Last night he also got some stick when taking those tippy tappy goal kicks to Fox and Cook that just seem an accident waiting to happen and nearly did.
Because we were at the other end of the ground it was was difficult to see who initially put the ball into the net. We saw the ball go into the box and Begovic flap as it went over him but it was only the cheers from the Argyle fans that confirmed it had gone in. Even the stadium announcer was confused because he gave the goal to Bundu of Plymouth. I have yet to watch the match highlights but I'd assume that Albert couldn't do much and just stuck a foot out.
It certainly is edge of the seat stuff when Begovic plays it around the back four! He/we, will come unstuck one of these days! I just hope it's not a game costing mistake when it inevitable happens. As you say stoatey, he is a decent shot stopper. But aren't all professional keepers at this level? So, the question is, Do we stick with him for the remaining four games? Or go with Walsh?

I think we have to stick with him until the end of the season and hope he doesnt make anymore big mistakes in those last 4 games. My main reason would be that he's built up an understanding with the back line and because there's no guarantee that Walsh is any better.
However, if I was Marti I'd stop the tippy tappy goal kicks and go back to lumping the ball up the pitch and try to pick out Jimmy Dunne who wins so many balls up against the opposition full back.
I'd imagine that if we have any transfer money the first priority will be a goal scorer followed by a goalkeeper.

I think they have already identified the need to replace Begovic (were they not looking at an African keeper?) and still trying to find the right striker. Fingers crossed!

I really hope that unlike previous years we've identified our targets and we'll get in early to sign them.
