Looks a 3 on paper, but judging the warmup drill it looks like a four of Dunne - Cook - Fox - Paal with some bizarre mix in midfield. They’re prepping as a back four with those four in that role.
So a 'solid' Back 4 and an experimental midfield - perhaps Ashby and Field with Madsen ahead of them? Hope it works out!
I worry about Morgan Fox as a centre-back in a two. That said there’s tactical flexibility on the pitch so he just has to rejig it if it doesn’t work
We are definitely playing the ball faster, but not necessarily with enough accuracy... Add Dunne to the list with Paal and Madsen. The other problem is how exposed we become as players fight for the ball. Having Cook come out so far was admirable, but only if he got the ball....
We look vulnerable every time Portsmouth attack and a lot of the issues stem from not being able to do the basics. Some of our shooting is embarrassing and the foul throw from Jimmy Dunne is something that you only expect to see in an Infants game.
