An interesting scenario Everton fans want big Sam out He's got them to 8th and out of relegation trouble But their football is dire to watch and take a pillow if you watch them play Would you want to see boring footie and be high up the table or be lower in the table and play watchable football Warnock is a good example when he got us promoted it wasn't pretty to watch but effective to win matches He's doing a blinding job at Cardiff and they are boring to watch compared to wolves and Fulham Everton fans should realise, big Sam steadied the ship and got them out of trouble I watched them on sky last Monday and I admit it was painful to watch at times
Interesting dilemma! I can only put this in terms of watching the side, in that I do not want to watch negative football but rather positive, ball-playing football. So I guess that matters to me more than grinding out a nil-nil draw, or perhaps even scraping a 1-0 home win. What does anyone else think?
But if pushed I would go for a better style of football. There have been games this season where we have played really well but come away without the result but left happy (ish).
The trouble is that if we play well and only get the odd result here and there it will soon turn to a sour atmosphere and the style will change to a way that gets results and then we will win a few in a row and demand that we win with a better style of football!
I really don't think there is a real answer to this question!

It has to come down to results. I know a lot of Everton fans and I've said to them you are 8th in the Premier League for god sake, what are you moaning about, we'd trade places any time!!
I think some of it comes down to expectations of the club as a whole. Even Mourinho gets stick for his style at times.
Is anybody telling me though that instead of winning the title next year by grinding out 1-0 wins at home and 0-0 draws away they'd rather us finish 12th playing all-out football in the style of Gigi Di Canio winning and losing in equal measure?

I'll be honest As long as we win I don't care how we do it But i don't go to games and have to see how we play Its a really hard question as there is an argument for and against both
Both NW and BIG SAM are dinosaur's. But you get what it says on the tin with both of them. Either they will save you from relegation or deliver promotion. Pretty or not.
Can I have both please? OK, if you force me to choose I'll have to go for results. But what I'd really like is a young skilful team playing attractive football and getting results. It's a big ask but that's the route the club is aiming for too.

I want the club to be in the Top 10, so that means getting the results; but I do not want to go along to games that are boring! Luckily, I think you are right Ghost in saying that Ollie's approach is to play good attacking football.
When Terry Venables was approaced to coach Barcelona he was told by Jim Gregory "Don't go there, they don't appreciate their football like we do". As we all know, Terry went there and taught them how to play the QPR way, which they continue to play to this day! Maybe we need to bring Terry back so that we can be reminded of how QPR should play!
