So, Angel Rangel - I do not get this, at all. Decent player and nice chap, but... Someone please explain, I'm defo missing something here.
We have signed a 35 year old right back, presumably to replace Osman Kakay - the Osman Kakay who has steadily got better and better; who was a pleasant surprise against PNE, one of our 4 best players against Sheffield Utd, and one of our 3 best players against Peterborough; who has rapidly gone from being a 'maybe' prospect to one of the first names on the team sheet; and who is the perfect example of what we have been continually told was the reason for ditching Ollie and getting Schteve in, development of our own young talent.
If I was Kakay I would be spitting feathers.
And a team who must be extra prudent financially for so many reasons uses a valuable chunk of our limited wage budget for this, when there are so many other pressing needs in that team and so little money for them? You can't use the 'competition' excuse when we have positions that we do not have adequate players for.

I must admit the more you think about this signing the odder it is.
As Rosco says if he takes the place of Kakay that is a joke and goes completely against the remit of why McClaren was brought in.
If he doesn't play then why are we wasting money on him when we could do with putting any funds we have into positions we desperately need?
Definitely a weird one. If Kakay stays fit then Furlong will be back in October and therefore there is a good chance Rangel never even makes an appearance for QPR.
Some Swansea fans still rate him Always thought he was a good solid player But he's 30 odd and the championship is full of pacy youngsters now Let's face it,it's not like we haven't wasted money before is it He's only on a 5 month contract so he's not too big a risk
