PLACE YOUR BETS 2018/19 RESULTS
Remember doing this back in the summer?
Let's see how stupid we were all made to look with our predictions for the season.... 5 points each correct answer.
The Answers with some analysis of the best and worse answers:
1) How many goals will prolific striker Conor Washington score this season? 0
A void question somewhat given that he left in August. He never scored for Sheffield United though either so it was a big fat zero which nobody predicted.
2) Who will be the first QPR player to get sent off this season (either 2 yellows or a red)? Cousins (Cup Blackpool) Hall in the league
Nobody got either of these answers which would have been accepted
3) Who will be QPR’s top scorer? Wells
An impossible one to call as we never had Wells when the deadline for this game closed. Most players were unlucky going for Smith
4) Who will be the QPR player of the year? Freeman
I got this correct along with QPRsmith
5) What position will QPR finish in? 19th
ranger-boy was closest with 18th
QPRsmith and kensalr were less close going for an optimistic 11th and CutePR must have been on happy pills the day she took part going for 9th!
6) Who will win:
.....A) The Premier League? Manchester City
.....B) The Championship? Norwich
surrey chad, ranger-boy, CutePR Ghost, stoatey, kingfisher and Rosco Bosco all got Man City. Honorable mentions to QPRsmith, kensalr and myself for predicting Liverpool which wasn't a bad bet in the end!
The Championship proved tough, nobody got Norwich. Most had Stoke, surrey chad had Forest, ranger-boy Swansea so we were all miles away. Kingfisher was a bit closer with Middlesbrough and CutePR closest of all with West Brom
7) Which 3 teams will get relegated from the Championship? Ipswich, Bolton, Rotherham
Ghost, kingfisher, kensalr, stoatey, Rosco Bosco and myself got 2.
Nobody got Ipswich.
surrey chad predicted Shrewsbury which was a long shot considering they weren't even in the league!
8) How many points will we pick up from our 2 games against Brentford (6 max)? 3
I got this correct along with kingfisher
9) Which QPR player will pick up the most bookings? Lynch and Scowen both 12
Everybody nailed this category. The only player to not get the points was QPRsmith who didn't predict anything for this question!
10) Which team will sack their manager first from:
.....A) The Premier League? Fulham (Jokanovic)
.....B) The Championship? Aston Villa (Steve Bruce)
ranger-boy did well calling the Fulham sacking in the Premier League
A superb call from Rosco Bosco getting Villa in the Championship; not the most obvious team to pick!
11) How many players will leave QPR in the January 2019 transfer window (permanent only)? 1 - Sylla
Only myself and stoatey got this correct going for 1
12) Which Round of the FA Cup will QPR reach? 5th Round
Well done to kensalr for predicting Round 5! What a joyous run it was!

So I end up as the winner with 30 points, 5 clear of kingfisher, Rosco Bosco and stoatey who were tied in 2nd
