This is what Ollie had to say above Mistakes Relying on a young inexperienced team of boys Getting rid of our best players Not signing the players in the areas we needed It showed yesterday our team is simply not good enough for this league,it would struggle in league one We can't say we will come good,we won't simple as that Why did we get rid of Ollie, why there's no reason for it Nothing has changed apart from we are a much poorer team now McClaren probably agreed he could get the best out of what he had left of our dismantled team Why has Tony stepped down, the FFP fine and January transfer ban is going to hit us Not one bookie in the world is not betting we are favourites to go down after yesterday we are We let one goal in first on Tuesday and our fragile team will totally fold again and the crowd will call for McClaren to get out,It's a massive game,a game that could define our season

Relying on a young inexperienced team of boys
I'm sick of everybody saying this (not you singlespeed I mean generally in the fanbase, from those around the club and also the media)
It is an absolute myth.
Kakay and Eze are kids. That is where it ends.
Everybody else has played for years, most of them at this very level, so this cannot be our excuse. Most have played over 200 games, they are not inexperienced. Freeman, Bidwell, Scowen, Smith have played their whole careers in the Championship.
Leister comes with a wealth of experience in a similar league, Lynch and Baptise are both over 30 and should lead from the back and use their experience.
Even Ingram has played nigh on 200 league games, not at this level, but it is not like he is 16 years old and been thrown in at the deep end.
Why did we get rid of Ollie, why there's no reason for it
Agree with this, Holloway was getting the very best out of what he had. We'll never know for sure but we were probably relegation standard the last 2 seasons and Ollie worked magic to make us look relatively comfortable.
He built a team around the midfield of Scowen/Luongo/Freeman and a key mistake from McClaren has been to break that up by moving Freeman out wide.
We need to go back to that as soon as possible.
Also if we knew a resolution to FFP was close and we knew we'd get an embargo why not stick with Holloway who pretty much guaranteed us a season of stability? He knew the squad, he knew how to get the best out of them, he had more good-will from the fans than McClaren is getting now.
It is almost like Fernandes thought that McClaren was some kind of magician who would be able to turn the same players who finished 16th into play off contenders.
This season was always going to be about consolidation so why change the manager who was in the best place to do that job again, just like he had last season?
We let one goal in first on Tuesday and our fragile team will totally fold again and the crowd will call for McClaren to get out,It's a massive game,a game that could define our season
I said this before Saturday's match. To start with 4 defeats would have been bad enough anyway, but to follow up the 7-1 with a home defeat is going to be catastrophic now.
But as I said elsewhere if we can pick up some points from these 2 home games everything will look a lot better. We are still so, so early in the season.
I honestly don't think we will go down, we just need to not panic, stick together and use these 2 home games to start the season.

It's all about the loan signings now We have some good players but we need to strengthen our weak areas We need defenders and a good striker There's players like James Collins from West Ham who haven't got a club out there Yes maybe not him but there is options to use
After Saturday I have stayed off this site so that I could calm down and not give a knee jerk reaction to the result. I have also not read any of the rest of the comments on this site so that my comments are purely my own.
The first thing I would like to say is that I think that the Home defeat against Newcastle was a far worse defeat and we recovered from that in only a few games but in saying that there are obviously some very deep problems with the club.
Unlike others I don't think that Tony Fernandez was bad for the club. Yes he has made lots of mistakes but he has also pored a lot a money into the club. I also think that he has learnt form these mistakes and is now taking a back seat before coming back to take the club forward a wiser man.
I also don't think that Steve McClaren is a bad manager. I also did not think that Holloway deserved to get sacked as he was doing a good job with the players that he had and the players that he brought in. But he was criticized for the style of play the team was playing and this site was as guilty of that as any other site.
McClaren was brought in to change the way we play. and he has done this through a passing game that is much better to watch. and although we lost to first 2 league games there was a view that given time we would get it right and go on to win a few games and move up the table .
The problem is that McClaren has the same group of players that Holloway had, and although Holloway did not make whole sale changes to the team the players that he brought in were to play in a team that played a pressing game that did not give the opposition a lot of time on the ball. West Brom worked out that we did not have the players or the confidence yet to play a passing game so they put our players under pressure which lead to mistakes and that lead to even less confidence.
Now as I have stated in the past stability and continually should be the things that the team should be aiming for but if you are going to change the manager and the style of play then you should give the manager the resources to bring in his own players.
Which brings me to the problem with the club. it is not the Chairman or manages or coaches or even the players that is the problem with the club.I think that they are all doing what they think is right and doing the best job that they can. The problem is that there is not a comprehensive plan for the club. We keep firefighting problems by poring money into the club or changing the manager or changing the players.
What we do need is a five or ten year plan but we need to stick with it and if that means going down to come back stronger then so be it. The owners and directors need to sit down and work out a plan to move forward and then tell the supporters what that plan is. Then it is up to us as support to support them. As supporters we want success today. Sometimes it takes a little longer.
Some good points mate I also think that trying to punch above our weight on our low finances in the championship is doing us no good Season after season just trying to avoid relegation is our aim and we don't like losing loads of games Maybe a drop to league one and a rebuilding plan could be the way we get back to where we used to be Another relegation will hurt but in reality trying to avoid it in a league of multi spending teams and good relegated sides like West Brom we are always going to struggle The FFP fine has finally kicked in and if we somehow manage to stay up it will be one hell of a achievement

Great post kensalr and you are so right on 2 points
1) You cannot change the style of play with the same players. I've said before we need to adopt a long term philosophy as a club of how we play and then hire managers who will continue that style of play. We cannot hire new manager after new manager who want to play different styles as that invariable means you need to overhaul the squad every transfer window which is costly and then takes time to bed in so season after season passes by. If we want to be efficient part of that could be saying 'we are playing this style now, this is the club we are' and then hire to fit that. McClaren has had it twice as hard as he hasn't been able to change the players so changing the style of play is nigh on impossible.
2) Linking to this and the club needing a plan you mention going down and coming back up. I am not as against this as some fans who think relegation is a disaster. I'm sure we all enjoyed the 2003/04 promotion season a lot more than we have the past 2 seasons. At the end of the day we will all support QPR and talk about them no matter what league we are in and sometimes it is better to be winning in a lower league than getting hammered in a higher league.
Also by going down you come back up with confidence and a united fanbase rather than treading water in the same league year after year with fans getting impatient which we currently have.
Look at Leicester, 2009 League 1 champions and by 2016 they are Premier League Champions. Southampton League 1 to Premier League with 2 straight promotions. Bournemouth League 1 promotion 2013, 2 years later Championship promotion in 2015.
I loved that season we won league one We carried that vibe into the championship and we ended up back in the premier league Worse case what if we didn't come back up what the hell would we do then No way am I talking we are down already just thinking after Saturday and our start to the season that we're in for a relegation battle this season if we don't pick up soon
Agree with all the points on here, and I for one have no issues with being relegated if it is going to stop the rot at the club. As stated, Leicester, Bournemouth and Southampton have all shown what you can do if you run a club properly! We have to look at the transfers / plaayers released during the summer. Whilst I am aware that the likes of Robinson left more than likely for a better wage packet, we lst half the defensive unit (Smithies, Onuoha, Perch, Robinson) who were all mainly first team players as well as the experience and passion of Mackie (I know he wasn't the same player as before) and ar3 also now without Furlong for 3 months. We have only brought in Leistner, so there, fundamentally, is one of our main problems! I am hopeful that the players will adapt well to McCkaren's style of play, Amit Bhatia will slowly make his mark on the club, sanction a couple of decent loans and not be on twitter every 5 minutes! It's a marathon, not a sprint, but we do need to start upping the pace a bit over the next few games!
Last year (for a loud few) it was the Managers fault. This season it's "upstairs" fault. It's no different! As a minimum Ollie had extremely average players grafting for the badge! Absolutely ridiculous decision getting rid of Ollie! Jut shows how well Ollie did now #QPR
Reading winning 2-0 Looks like we will be the only team going to be pointless More bad news Wigan beating stoke 2-0 away So they are obviously a good team
