I was there tonight it was as bad a performance as I can remember. No quality wrong tactics and zero confidence. We desperately need more everything and a big slice of luck....

Too many offsides by players like Washington & Sylla who should no better, and too many fumbles in front of goal (Washington, Sylla, Freeman, Wszolek). The latter is (as Sinton said last night) indicative of attempts to get the ball perfectly positioned (rather than shoot on first touch) because they lack confidence. The whole team knows this as it means the midfield is adverse to surging forward because they feel the ball will be lost and then we would be caught out, and the defence gets desperate because they know they will not have a 'buffer of goals' to assist them in defending.

Unfortunately this type of team performance has been the case for the last couple of years and because there has been no fresh faces the current squad consists of players who are either not good enough or have got too complacent. The likes of Freeman, Scowan, Luongo, Bidwell etc., know their place in the team is just about guaranteed because there is very little competition for places. Players like Washington and Lynch try their best but they are not Championship class. We have too many players who fall into the latter category.
The likes of TF and Sir Les along with the other decision makers at the club think that the answer is to regularly change manager rather than bring in players. They seem to have missed the point that even if they bring in an Alex Ferguson or a Pep Guardiola the club is only as good as the players who perform on the pitch. If you don't invest in your squad and constantly move forward then you end up going backwards. The simple fact is that the squad was poor last season and is even worse this season.
Unless there is a big shake up and we bring in several QUALITY loan players we are clearly going to be relegated. If we are relegated to League 1 and there is still no investment we will be relegated to League 2. It happened at Portsmouth and they only resolved their downfall by eventually getting a new owner who had worked at Disney and had experience of managing Mickey Mouse and Dopey!
We are going to be relegated We have to win at least 13 games at home We've already lost 2 so far We will have to face Leeds,stoke,boro and West Brom at home as well as away and we've already been spanked We don't tend to win away even with Ollie We will be lucky to get 40 points in my opinion
