General 'Championship' Thread 2018 - 2021

For me owners and boards have become totally unrealistic in their expectations and they expect success despite selling their best players. What's happening at Brum is very similar to the QPR situation where managers are expected to be successful on a shoestring due to FFP. 

It seems that unless you at least make the play offs then the manager will be sacked and as a result there is no stability. New managers are then appointed with new ideas and recruit a different set of players that puts even greater strain on the wages budget. The issue then becomes that you have to sell your better players because the crappier guys don't want to move on and the team and the fans suffer from poor performances.

What makes things even worse is when your local neighbours become successful and get promotion to the promised land of the Premiership (Fulham and Villa).
