Before I saw the full 90 minutes on video I read a few articles from the Brentford side to establish how bad the injuries were for the two stretchered off. I have to say that there was so much reliance upon their side deserving to win because they had more possession; rather than an admittance that QPR held their own in the first half, were unlucky with Maupay's goal, and in the second half outplayed Brentford. I felt Freeman and Eze were, at best, off pace in the first half (with Freeman blaming everyone else but himself and looking a prime candidate for a future bad foul); but pushing further upfield in the second half worked. The team moved the ball around as well as the Bees and, to cries of 'Ole' beat them at their own game. A great football derby, won by the better side! Only criticism, if that, was replacing Wells, rather than Eze, with Cousins. I felt Eze was not doing enough to hold up the Brentford play from the back, whereas Wells was.
