One one hand Chelsea have something in the region of 35 players out on loan many of which are highly unlikely to make the first team so are essentially a money making exercise for Chelsea to either recoup the investment or make some additional money.
On the other, lower league clubs are benefiting from having players from a prem club play for them that have received far better training and coaching than most lower league sides could dream of providing so that helps them (unless you get a Seah Goss)
But as you say it may force lower league clubs to raise their game when it comes to development
All the more reason I guess for us to get Warren Farm up and running (and the new stadium)!
I just hope that the plan is to follow the Chelski model and to get as many players out on loan as possible. I hope the plan is to develop talent to progress to our own team and then sell on. Not a great model to win anything but it could make the club sustainable.

Unless you have a really generous 'sugar daddy' I think that is the only long-term solution. Trouble is that so many other clubs are trying to do the same, so it will ultimately come down to how the development side of the business is funded and run.

Retaining quality coaches will be the key, and I am guessing that unless they have a stake in future profits they will be mercenaries and simply go to whoever pays the most. (As we all would)
