Well that was a rather sobering result against Preston and it was a 4-1 score that obviously nobody predicted, in fact only singlespeed even went for a Preston win.
Nobody got the first scorer of Stockley either so points were at a premium which is not ideal for most players at this crucial stage of Phase 2! 18 players failed to score out of 21 which may be a record!
QPRsmith did at least get the early first goal time correct along with singlespeed
In the bonus match I was the only player to predict a Stoke win and got the 2-1 exact too.
Nobody in Division 1 picked up anything, quite unbelievable! So it is as you were which favours those near the top and is not good news for kingfisher and CutePR who remain 15 points from safety with only 2 games left in Phase 2 so they look almost certain to get relegated. SydneyR needs to overturn a 6 point deficit to avoid the drop.
In Division 2 singlespeed's 6 points make him odds on to get promoted, staying 2nd but moving 8 points clear of 4th place which is what matters and is a large buffer at this stage.
QPRsmith may have only scored 3 points but that is enough to move him up 2 places into the 3rd promotion place above MaxQPR and ranger-boy. Those 3 players are separated by just 2 points so it looks set to be a cracking final 2 games in the promotion race as there are going to be some very unlucky and very disappointed players from that posse!
I was the only other player to score but 3 points aren't enough to move me out of the bottom 3 negative points positions for the start of the next phase.
So a day to forget for QPR and most of our players too!
