He should get games - they are bottom of the Scottish championship. But he's going to be playing at almost National League level, I'm not convinced he had a future at QPR. If this loan doesn't go well it is definitely game over.

I am not convinced either. Kakay needs at least top end of League 2 level to maintain his skills, and really it should be League 1 level.
He has apparently been recalled. He has been playing so it seems a little because Kane and Rangel are both in and out of the side so Kakay has no chance.

Rangel was not even listed on the subs bench so I did wonder if there was something more serious affecting him. The club stays very tight-lipped these days regarding absences, so you never know...

New 4 year deal for Kakay, taking him to 2024, so technically a 3 year extension on his deal that was due to end at the end of this season.
What a few months he has had... from 3rd choice right back and looking like his future lay elsewhere, to signing a long term deal on the back of impressive performances!
A new deal is great news for Kakay. He got thrown into the deep end by McClaren when we had lots of injuries and he could have sunk without trace after that 7-1 hammering by WBA but he didnt and he will improve.

Yes he has shown his maturity in coping with that big defeat and time in the 'W12 wilderness'. If you think back to his first start in preference to Kane he did not slowly improve - he was good from the start! I can honestly see a PL side sniffing come next summer....
I'm saddened to see him go, tbh. Whilst aware of his shortcomings, he always gave his all. At a time when many players with more natural talent were doing way less and dialling in performances, he conversely and thankfully did more with less. He was an R's fan through and through. I will always remember how he sat through a couple of seasons on the subs bench with rarely getting on, yet he cheered the team on, never moaned, put up graciously with Todd Kane's petty and classless criticism, and always seemed happy just to support the club and his teammates in any way he could. Gareth Ainsworth talked about getting players who were 'the right stuff' in terms of character. Ozzy was a prime example of this.
I wish him all the very best for the future.
