The penultimate match of Phase 2 of the season was a disappointing one for QPR but who got some consolation in defeat?
Only singlespeed, savoyhoop, Rosco Bosco and myself picked a Wigan win and nobody went for 2-1 exactly.
I was the only player who got Windass as first scorer
QPRsmith was the only player who got the early first goal time of 0-15 and kingfisher was only player to pick up a sole bonus point for predicting a Norwich win at Leeds.
That meant we had a huge 14 players failing to score making it 2 low scoring rounds in a row overall.
I was the only player to score more than 3 bagging my highest score of the phase at a crucial time to drag myself out of the bottom 3 negative points positions for the first time in 10 matches but still 8 points outside a very unlikely promotion place. My -6 points penalty for finishing bottom in Phase 1 may prove costly.
Speaking of promotion places stoatey and singlespeed look certain to go up to Division 1 to fight for the title in Phase 3. QPRsmith has given himself a 4 point cushion over MaxQPR who failed to score for 2 matches in a row for the first time all season at the wrong time of the season. ranger-boy is 5 points off the top 3 a place further back. Amazingly 44 points left QPRsmith in the bottom 3 at the end of Phase 1 but could get him promotion in Phase 2 such is the lower rate of scoring.
ashqpr has only picked up 3 points in the last 5 matches so drops 2 places to 2nd from bottom. Technically with 18 points on offer in the last match of the phase only onenightfever cannot get promoted but the main aim of those at the bottom now will be trying to avoid the negative points which will make it harder to get promoted next time.
In Division 1 only 2 players out of 10 scored meaning 8 players have drawn 2 blanks in a row. savoyhoop's 3 points were important though as despite staying 8th it gives savoyhoop a 9 point buffer over SydneyR in the battle to avoid the drop.
kingfisher's 1 point just about keeps him alive 17 points from savoyhoop but 1 point in 5 games overall mean he is more than likely going to get relegated with only a full 18 point score going to give him any hope of survival and even that may not be enough if savoyhoop picks up a point or two. CutePR drops back to the bottom but isn't officially relegated. However unless she scores a maxiumum 18 without reply it's down to Division 2 for CutePR.
One of MCM Hoop, e17hoop, Ghost and QPRBex could technically get relegated if SydneyR scores big and other results go against them.
