As we conclude the busiest month of the season so far, it gives us another 5 league games to discuss!
APPEARANCES
Bidwell is now the only player on a 100% record for this season, with Eze missing 3 games and Freeman missing 1 game. Both Lumley and Luongo reached 30 games in the win against Leeds whilst Manning got his first start of the season in Freemans place at Middlesbrough. Osayi-Samuel is the only other player, apart from Matt Smith, to be in double figures for substitute appearances this season.
GOALSCORERS
The biggest talking point here is we have a change of personnel as top scorer! Freeman has moved on to 7 goals to overtake Wells. Smith and Hemed are both up to 4 goals each whilst Cousins netted his first of the season in the Birmingham game to get his name on the chart.
GOAL TIMES
This table continues to be the complete reverse of last season as we continue to be the most prolific either side of Half Time, yet the most vulnerable at the end of matches. Interestingly we have scored in every single time bracket in the last 5 league games apart from the opening 15 minutes and have conceded in every single time bracket except just after Half Time.
TIME OF FIRST GOAL
The first 4 brackets have all had the opening goal scored in it across the last 5 games! West Brom and Middlesbrough both started early against us, whilst it took Birmingham until midway through the first half to get their first. Smith scored the opener against Bristol City in first half stoppage time whilst Freemans opener against Leeds came just after Half Time.
BOOKINGS
Both Lynch and Luongo are on 8 bookings each for the season now and are two bookings away from a 2 game ban. Howevever the cut off date for the 2 game ban is after 37 league fixtures and therefore after the Rotherham match on 13th March. Leistner, Scowen and Bidwell are the only other players who would be able to hit 10 bookings before the cut off as they're all tied on 7.
MATCH OUTCOMES
This awful run we've been on before the Leeds game means we're now up to 16 losses for the season and 12 wins. 6 draws make up the rest of the matches, but hopefully now we can put a run together and end the season strongly!
