Out for a few games But injury not as bad as first thought Will be missed as it’s good to have a target man and he was starting to bang goals in while wells has dried up
McClaren won't know what subs to make now for a few games.
It is Plan A or bust as Plan B has injured his ankle!
He could give Hemed a rest from starting and introduce him at 70 mins (as usual) for Plan B instead of Matt Smith.... Of course he would need to put someone else up front with Nakhi Wells, and my suggestion (on which he has not come back on yet) was to play Freeman there....
I know that hind sight is always 20/20 vision but this seems a little like bad planning to me. At one point we had 7 reconsidered strikes to choose from and now we are down to 1
2 have been sold Sylla and Washington
2 Are on loan to other clubs Smyth and Othe
1 is out injured Smith
1 has just come back from injury Hamed
Which leaves Wells as the only striker that would last 90 minutes
If the worst happens and Wells gets an early injury and Hamed can not last the rest of the game. who the hell will we play up front.
Be interesting to see who is on the subs bench Tonight.
Does anyone know who is playing as striker for the under 23's

Believe it or not after your post rightly criticising how short we are up front the U23 squad on the official site lists just ONE striker! Odysseus Alfa!

I actually think Shodipo has been playing up front for the U23's recently.
I would suggest Eze spends some time there gaining confidence. If his work-rate is never going to be the same as others then he needs to be capable of taking on players and making something out of little. Overall, it is just not happening for him at present...
